DepreceV2 03/19/21 9:37:02 AM #1:	I know people constantly complain about getting moderated and it being unfair. Honestly though? It is so lax compared to what it use to be. People that have been around for a long time feel free to chime in. Maybe Im crazy. Any profanity use to be a moderation. The only way you can get by it was by using * and you had to use it for the entire word for that to work. I think you even got moderated for linking a video with profanity in it at one point but I cant remember. You can do some light obvious trolling without getting moderated which you couldnt do before. Hell, you can get away with heavy trolling now a days. You seem to be able to sorta get away with purposely insulting people? This one is kinda a gray area. Before, I remember getting moderated when I called myself dumb. I disputed it and they said that it still counts as flaming when it was against myself and it was upheld. If you are a decent person, getting moderated should be a rare occurrence now a days. This isnt like how it was back in the day when it felt like you were walking on eggshells. The people that complain a ton now wouldnt last back then. I have V2 after my name for a reason. I was on the Fire Emblem boards back then. My record of moderations was actually quite clean. Rarely go moderated, same as today. I participated in a meme of the game on that games message board and a mod went through and banned everyone who participated. Pretty much a purge. He announced it too on the forum and pinned his topic as well. No way something like that would happen now. Im fact, I heard recently that mods cant ban people. I dont know if that has always been a thing or a change over the years. Maybe a mod can clarify.
