Each day I'll select 10 random characters from the Nintendo wiki (using https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random ), and whichever gets the most votes gets a slot on B8's Smash Bros. roster

• Special exception: If the random page lands me on an obscure game that doesn't have a page for its characters, I'll just take the main character from that (or the closest thing I can find to a main character).
• Special exception #2: Sometimes RNG wants something that's not a character to be in the poll, and if that happens, so be it.
• Special condition #3: In the case of a tie, both characters will get in but the 2nd character will be an echo of the first.

Yesterday was a surprisingly close race between Kenshiro and underdog Chill Panda, while my Just Dancer (who I legitimately want in Smash) was left in the dust with edgy Star Wars guy.

Today on deck we have two Pokemon right off the bat, the 2nd system to enter the contest, a snake, a Peacock, someone else from Fire Emblem, a circle, yet another car, a guy in a city, and another anime.

I've been slacking on the breakdowns but I actually think Just Dance would be an excellent choice for a character. It'd be a bizarre surprise in the way Wii Fit Trainer is, but it's a cool visual style, has hundreds of dance moves to choose from for moves, has plenty of alternate costumes possibility, and it's definitely big enough both on Nintendo systems and for gaming in general to deserve a slot. Hell, Just Dance was the last series to continue to put out games for the Wii (even after the Switch was out)

• Golett (Pokemon Black/White)- Like I said earlier, I love Golurk, and I'd be pretty down for this
• Grumpig (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire) - This is a bad Pokemon choice but not the worst
• Bubbles (Kirby's Adventure) - I love Bubbles and this would be fun as a goofy assist trophy, but not a playable character
• Shemum (Kid Icarus) - Meh, boring.
• Master Roshi (Dragon Ball) - I mean... yeah, it'd be fuckin' wild. Not my ideal choice, but I don't hate it.
• PlayChoice-10 (system) - nah, if we're getting more system stuff, it's something less obscure than this
• Dalton (Fire Emblem: Awakening) - don't know who he is but he looks boring
• Car (San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing) - we've had so many car options and this is a pretty bland one
• Pav (Animal Crossing: City Folk) - I really want another Animal Crossing rep but not this ugly-ass peacock.
• City Manager (Cities - Skylines) - So they'd basically have to come up with a whole new character for this to make this, since there's not an actual "character" but if done I think this could be pretty cool.

would prefer pawniard/bisharp and meloetta/victiny/zoroark would deserve it more as far as gen 5 reps go but i'm not really opposed
grumpig wouldn't even be in my top 100 gen 3 picks, there is essentially no reason to include it when mewtwo is there (wouldn't mind seeing spoink as a pokeball smash mon tho)
