Did you watch the Snyder Cut? Should Flash have been able to easily take on Steppenwolf and his goons? I feel like Flash was heavily underutilized and nerfed to allow the other Leaguers to shine.

Also, he tripped and got shot. WTF? Running over 186,000 miles per second and he gets shot by a common enemy. He's moving so much fast the projectile would look like it's not moving at all to him. Look how they massacred my boy! He's a worse Pietro!

I liked the humor but yeah they totally downplayed his abilities and also superman is FAST but he doesn't have the reaction speed of the flash he shouldn't be able to easily catch/trip him while he's moving at warp speed etc.

Also interestingly I believe when he creates a flash point the old universe still exists and continues forward without his changes which means that the entire world was doomed and taken over (I'm guessing that is what the last part is about with batman + joker etc?).

But yeah, flash shouldn't be able to "trip" as nothing should be moving at all compared to him, and he has the reaction time to allow him to avoid stuff obviously (or he wouldn't be able to move at all). Technically anything that doesn't move super fast shouldn't really have any change against him at all.

Theyre definitely using the Flash as DCUs version of Spider-Man. The one who is a generation behind everyone else. Much younger and sillier than everyone else

hes still learning about his powers. They clearly expected more stuff to come in the future, with a possible Flash movie (which I dont even know is even happening anymore)

I don't really understand comics (hence why I'm asking), but what you're saying is how I understand it. I always thought the speed force slowed everything around him, so from his PoV, he's taking a brisk jog. If he were to trip, he'd recover at super speed too, AFAIK, which we would never notice happening. But he just eats pavement in the movie.

Yeah, I figured that from the first movie. They were really leaning in on the millennial stereotypes (he just walked into the store and handed over his resume ). God, it was awful though. Glad they took out that whole brunch bit at least.
