Well i watched supernatural for 15 years. From the beginning to its end. And well i didn't want it to end really. I love Dean and wanted the brothers to keep going. So the ending of the final episode made me depressed for a few days. It had a lot of emotion especially when the Neoni cover of carry on my wayward son played

I still watch Family Guy for some reason even though I don't think I've laughed at it in years. Not sure why I do it. Masochism maybe.

I was like that with The Walking Dead but they actually helped me drop that show.

I felt like I could leave once Rick left. Them killing Carl was a nudge but the Rick thing was the shove I needed to drop it forever. It was Rick's story and after it just felt aimless and dumb.

I had this exact reaction pretty much. Also pretty sad to hear about the ending we could have gotten if not for COVID.

As far as the topic at hand, I felt this way about How I Met Your Mother. Loved Seasons 1-3. Seasons 4-6 definitely took a noticeable dip in quality, but had some standout moments. But by the last third of the series, it was just like a chore watching, but I felt like I had to see it through to the end. Then the end sucked.

I've actually been watching Journeys after not having watched any of the Pokemon anime since the R/S/E days. I don't think it's that bad.

You don't have the context of seeing Ash at his best in DP, his worst in BW, and somewhat competent in XY and S&M (even FINALLY becoming a champion, albeit against a bunch of scrubs). He's completely out of character in Journeys and randomly forgets things he's learned and places he's been. It's also incredibly frustrating that he keeps revisiting old locales and never saying hi to old acquaintances.

I recommend picking it back up with the anime. It abridges the boring politics stuff to get back to the action quicker.
