I used to read those when I was younger, and they have awesome stories. I know we have stuff like God of War and Fenyx, but those are telling stories of after the mythology. I really want some video games or movies about the actual mythology, of Zeus seducing people by turning into various animals, or literally melting that dumbass girl by showing his true form, etc...

I don't know about most people but I got crazy tired of Greek mythology by the time I was 15, I mean it's all I learned about at one point.

Some of it went bye bye when the Library of Alexander burned. Some of it went to waste when one of the worst cults known to mankind came and burned anyone or anything saying such "mythology" was just as legitimate.

It is more explored than literally any other mythology except for maybe Norse or Judeo-Christian.

You should be asking why we don't have more stuff for other mythologies.

Though much of what we have of Norse is the Christianized bastard version of the mythology, down to the existence of Loki as a god, rather than--and I am over-simplifying a relative unknown here--the role given to a spritely, spiritual protector of children, of which there may have been several (hence the numerous faces leading to the idea of shapeshifting).

of Zeus seducing people by turning into various animals,

It was the 80s! The 1380s BC, to be precise. Nowadays a lot of that stuff is super-illegal.

How come we don't have more stuff of Greek/Roman Mythology?

Hotshotting, mostly. So many stories were adapted to tv and film in the past that they're too well-known. Plus many don't lend themselves to full-length films, or sometimes even full-length episodes.

We still see a lot of things loosely based on my son, Heracles (known better among you mortals as Hercules, or to some as Hunkules).

Pretty much. There are tons of media based on Greco-Roman mythology. Specific elements may not be covered, but that's generally because they're hard to turn into anything more interesting than a one-off joke.

But Greco-Roman is a far richer (and more complete) tableau than other mythos. The fact that it's not more widely covered can only be ascribed to an evil prejudice, be it racism or something else.

I would say that not even Judeo-Christian mythology gets explored all that much outside of maybe the King Arthur myth (which is debatable at best as to how Judeo-Christian it is). Shinto and Greco-Roman are easily the most explored due to a lot of Japanese developers and plenty of western developers tapping into it. Norse is a bit weird since it usually gets tons of acknowledgements but rarely any actual exploration. Not to say it doesn't exist (it very definitely does) but it's not in the same league as the Greco-Roman stuff.
