I don't really understand the Isaiah museum exhibit. Was Sam just casually exposing massive government secrets to the public? Or was it just a tribute to a completely unrelated soldier that "died" in battle? Without the super serum stuff, there's nothing connecting Isaiah to Steve, is there?

It was presented in a nice way, but the implications are either that Sam is exposing dark government secrets(and that the exhibit will be removed), or that it didn't actually tribute anything important to Isaiah's life and will be seen as just a random statue in the wrong museum. Even weirder is that Sam said everyone would remember what he did for the country, but neither option accomplishes that?

Oh... So he was just casually exposing government secrets. With no backlash or worry seen about it. Isaiah himself said he'd be dead in a day if they knew he was alive, so it certainly seems like the government still has a strong interest in keeping that secret.

i mean, he clearly didn't do it himself. i'm sure the Smithsonian cleared a lot of it with Army. It's also seemingly set up to imply that Isaiah is dead. it's possible Sam set it up in a way that didn't let people know he was still alive.

The Smithsonian is literally run by the US government. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on this.

It's obvious that the senator and the rest of the council were affected by Sam's speech and the US government worked to change things. They obviously got Sharon's pardon from Sam too.

Plus museums IRL today have tons of things exposing our country's dark past.

Also, a huge part of the whole Isaiah arc in this show was that he was wrong to act so defeatist. Things can change, but you have to be willing to fight for it.

It just felt like it came out of nowhere. Going from Isaiah saying they erased him, and that they'd kill him to keep it a secret... To Sam going "surprise!" and it suddenly being ok.

couldve been better but the ending bits with Bucky confessing and Isaiahs exhibit were amazing

I kind of like Sharon's heel. We haven't gotten many heroes turned into villains in the MCU yet. I guess...only Mordo?

Anthony Mackie doesn't get enough credit, fantastic actor. Also

Marvel presents: Captain America and the Winter Soldier fucking perfect. Caught me off guard. Fantastic wrap up. Post credit scene was lame though.

The Sharon arc was the least interesting part of the entire show and they made the end credits scene focus on it. Ugh.

I liked the message behind it but I feel like not a lot of interesting stuff happened. They clearly tried to make Karli a sympathetic villain but didn't succeed. I didn't care a bit for her.

Happy they went back and redeemed Walker though. I mean, I figured he was gonna become US Agent, but the previous episode made me think he went off the deep end.

Walker, Zemo, and Sharons men got rid of Karlis followers.

Sharon killed Kari before Sam could apprehend (or before he himself gets shot).

Does no one else think Sam didnt actually do anything important? He wasnt even present when the guy who sposedly wanted revenge on him was defeated.

I just realized why the finale especially bothered me. Sam didnt actually have anything to do. While everyone else had important battles, this dude was chasing one helicopter half the episode.

I expect The Falcon to stop generic mooks. But lord forbid, let the dude apprehend somebody. Everyone he faced excluding the first episode legit gets away. Or his intended goal fails.

The whole super soldier thing is irrelevant since this dude has a high tech bird suit. A super soldier can literally just be gunned down as we see Karli running from a solo Zemo with a gun. And the first flagsmasher who bought time.

Not impressive.

He's not literally saying she's not a terrorist, he's pointing out how the word 'terrorist' is often used to wholly dismiss the needs and motivations of people. Especially in this case where people are being forced out of homes they've made in the past 5 years.

Not every problem can be solved by punching someone. If anything the MCU needs to have more stuff with this sort of resolution outside of clear cut threats like Thanos.

If Vision can have the honors of a non physical victory over an antagonist, dunno why Sam cant win at anything.

Sam literally fails to get through to Karli verbally AND fails to defeat her without her dying.

What did Sam accomplish?

Sam did the inspirational speech that stopped (for the meantime at least) hundreds and thousands of people getting kicked out back to the country they lived in before the blip. Which was the Flagsmashers goal in the finale.

I feel like you missed the point. It wasn't so much saying that they weren't terrorists, but saying that when you call them terrorists and dismiss them offhand as a result, you fail to see what's actually causing the shit in the first place and it might well be you.

I understood the point. The show didnt execute what they wanted to say very well. I feel like the extreme actions the flagsmashers did were swept under the rug with that comment. Its one of the reasons I disliked this show, its a tricky subject and the show didnt do a very good job getting their messages across.

they went with the heavy handed approach rather than subtlety.

its a shame because I really liked Mackie and the falcon
