I mean, Paradox game often *do* allow you to engage in colonialism and genocide, but generally in a way that's very flavorless and hidden. Stellaris is the one Paradox game that's up-front about you being a monster, what with enabling you to commit widescale genocide, blow up planets Star Wars Empire-style(you can also disintegrate all organic life on a planet or merely encase the doomed world in an unbreakable shield). The most recent expansion, Nemesis, allows you to go even further: Insofar as it allows you to "Become the Crisis" and construct a device called the "Aetherophasic Engine". This device is powered by the souls of your victims and by the very stars themselves: yes, you can literally destroy stars! When it's complete, your species ascends to a higher plane of existence, at the very modest price of annihilating every star in the galaxy(and thus all remaining life in the galaxy) you haven't blown up already.

Shin Megami Tensei games also allow you to engage in some pretty awful stuff, as a rule.

If you're on the dark side path in KOTOR you can eventually use mind tricks to force Zaalbar to kill Mission

And in Deception 2, you have to murder a child to get a better promotion to a bigger mansion to torture people to death with.

In Disco Elysium the main character can shoot an annoying kid. You do get an instant game over though.

well in case you're looking for interesting stories i'd say dwarf fortress because
1: the creator had to nerf an item's value because people were literally asphyxiating mermaid children so they could sell their bones
2: a topic had to be locked because someone modded in genitals and made a dwarf do something regarding an elf with them

The Dark Side Sith Warrior in particular was just rough. Your first companion is a slave that you have a shock collar on that you shock for fun whenever she says something you don't like or sometimes for no reason at all. You corrupt a Jedi into being a Sith and kill her whole family and then you can romance her.

It is really fucking dark.

If we're counting mods, I know some that include some heinous shit, albeit it was more for fetish-fuel purposes rather than because they were strictly trying to be edgy.

The first thing that comes to mind is an old PC game, Syndicate. Using the Perseadortron to brainwash some sorry sap and send him as a suicide bomber against my corporate rivals seems pretty morally bankrupt.

Also I guess in Minecraft you could make a lava pit and then spawn mobs to drop into it.
