I don't understand the CW and how much they sexualize teens in media. Yes, obviously teens have sex but two teenage characters bragging they had sex or got off 6 times in one night? Like is there no parental supervision in the home? It's just wild. They have another show where the teens are casually having threesomes.

Maybe I just grew up in a boring town.

I did enjoy Supernatural, though.

Humorously enough, I was reading an article that discussed how the show's fan-fiction (almost always female or LGBT writers) gradually shifted from fan-fictioners shipping themselves with the Winchesters to writing themselves as the Winchesters' adopted children or apprentices because the actors aged quite a bit over the show's run >_>

The idea sounded really good fun on paper. I remember being very excited when it was first announced. They could have gone completely wacky with this and made it a memeish action comedy show. Like how hard is it to write PPG.

Probably best to let things lie. It was a cute and fun cartoon of a different era, but I don't think we need to necro it just because it gave some warm and fuzzies once upon a time.

Yeah I saw their cringy cheerleader outfits. The only characters I remember being sexualized were Him and Sedusa. And both were self explanatory. Now we might not see the glory (and horror) of Him in live action. It would have been such a glorious hot mess. I think Ru Paul would make a good Him.

I thought it was a stupid idea when I heard it, so the fact it's flopped is little surprise although even I hadn't expected it to this big of a train wreck. Honestly, I thought the PPG didn't age in the first place.

At any rate, this will give them more time to work on a Dexter's Lab series -_-

Season 1 sucked (and those early episodes are borderline unwatchable when you go back), then 4 & 5's continuity episodes were lame. Honestly, the best concept was season 6 because of its "What's next?" connotation, and then the villains from s7 were awesome (and were by far the most sinister antagonists, since they were more subversive than the other threats). The real issue was when it went from Amara to BoML (going from cosmic-level threat to human organization -- and that human organization made zero sense to pop out of the woodwork just then, particularly given that their incompetence should have got them all killed ages ago), which was why, just why?

In general, the standalones were mostly better than the continuity episodes although there were a few standalones which felt like continuity.

So odds are we never see what the current pilot is, plenty of TV shows every year never make it past the pilot stage. A good number of them we never see a single bit of or even hear about.

original powerpuff girls was a masterpiece, considering what we recently got i had zero expectations of this project.
Have a good creative individual make a good series for a few seasons, individual runs out of ideas and quits, CW gives series to a bunch of sheltered thumblr art college grads who don't require a lot of money, series gets ruined, repeat

Look, I'm not gonna even pretend to know what the target audience would look for in this show, but having read through roughly 24 pages,...it's a MASSIVE, woke, turd! I can see why even CW didn't want to waste their time on this.

Indeed. It would have been so easy to just leave it up and deny that it was anything more than somebody's bad fanfiction, but by acting to protect the copyright on something they should never actually try to use, they've officially endorsed it.
