That does it. Now I will never order chipotle... because they put cilantro in many things so I refuse to eat their food anyway and price doesn't matter. It could be 1 trillion dollars or they could be paying me to eat their food. Either way I won't.

This is not surprising. There are few options to maintain margins if pay is increased. Offer lower quality food, raise prices for the consumer, replace workers with automation.

They could afford to raise wages without raising prices. Thing is, that's not profitable. They'd raise the price regardless, but doing it like this means they can get customers pissed at employees rather than corporate.
