Gave you a key if you dont already have one, etc. and when you bring the mail in, you see they left their house kind of a mess dirty dishes, didnt take out the trash, bags on the floor, whatever. would you tidy up their house for them? For me its cause I wouldn't want them doing it in my place. My mother has offered to help clean my bedroom several times (the only place I am a bit of a slob in) and I always refuse. Had to clean the whole house the other day which wasnt bad cept my room. I was offered help cause I had a broke hand but I'm stubborn. It wouldn't even occur to me to clean up someone's house, though. If there are garbage bags around, it's possible that they just forgot to ask you to take them out (or thought you wouldn't want to), so asking/offering is considerate. Doing anything else uninvited, however, is an invasion of privacy and a major passive-aggressive judgement of their lifestyle. Most people aren't going to be keen on that. --- This is my signature.
