Yeah, they let them put the PS4 version out after buying them, but forbade a PS5 version. Not saying I don't get it from a business standpoint, but still lame.

But I mean there's not much else you can do when you've created an ecosystem where it literally is no longer possible for your console to have any exclusives and you're entire brand relies on the popularity of your subscription system.

And that's not really an attempt to dig, GP is fantastic.

They own Double Fine now and part funded as well as published the games. It makes sense.

Still I think this is the first exclusive from Microsofts new acquisitions (Playground doesnt count) which is quite notable.

In this case its likely that they just didnt put any resources into developing a PS5 version after Microsoft took over. Hence why its on PS4 and can be played on PS5.

Pretty reasonable tbh, you think the next Sunset Overdrive game (if it happens) will have an Xbox One version? I dont think it will.

I think they made promises on Fig or whatever to release the game on PS4, so they had to still put that version out even after getting purchased by Microsoft.

but there were no promises about a PS5 version, so thats never happening

Generally the idea would be that if not for the MS purchase, it never would've gotten a Series S/X version and would've been last gen only (like many games this year have been). MS funded an upgraded version - they didn't pay for exclusivity.

Psychonauts was great so I'm glad this will be too. I'd play rhombus of ruin if it wasn't a 300 dollar headset away. That, Batman vr and possibly accounting+ aren't really enough time sell me on vr.

Finished. Really great, and surprising given the development process.

I'm just glad they didn't rush this out - the ending is really good, unlike meat circus

I'm most of the way through the game now and I have a question - when did Raz find out that Maligula is his grandmother's sister? There was the twist that his grandma was imposter Maligula all along, and he reacts like he knew that she was grandma's sister at that point. Did I miss a scene?
