If you think this is douchey, then whatever.

But if I understand this right.

-Gabby and Brian go on a trip for their social media thing.

-Theres a reported altercation where the officer separates them for a night.

-Brian, the fiance, returns home without Gabby.

-Gabbys parents report her as missing.

-Brian is mute and eventually disappears himself.

Is that the story? Why was this talked about so much? Are these unusual circumstances? People at work were discussing this a lot last week, and I couldnt for the life of me understand why. People disappear every day.

I doubt any family or loved ones post here, so Im asking despite the recent update.

Just read any of the other topics asking this. Its just a weird story. Girl goes missing, male is home by himself with her vehicle willingly not talking.

Plus, social media presence was allowing people to play detective and track everything. A YouTube video pointed her death location basically

there is a lot of info on this case so people can follow along like a reality tv show.

Prob the oddest occurrence was that Gabby's van was caught on dashcam a few weeks ago parked about 900 feet away from where her body was found today. So without that footage, I don't think they would have found her body so fast if at all.

And also....

In a video called "VAN LIFE | Beginning Our van Life Journey," posted to Petito's YouTube channel Nomadic Statik on August 19, Laundrie is briefly seen reading the book Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer.

In the novel, four women travel into an uninhabited area.

Three of women die, and the fourth stays in the area permanently.

Ah, this makes sense. Its like an interactive case. I guess its not often the normal civilians can help out to such a degree.

Brians Instagram also shows him as a fan of Palaniuk. Other than Fight Club he also enjoyed a book about a murderer who travels around campsites or something.

Whoa.

Intense.
