I mean, this is a new character. Jon's sexuality has never been defined and he's only about 7 years old as a character (most of which was spent at age 10.)

This is not going to do anything to bring people back to comics. Even with the extremely popular MCU, Manga is on the verge of pushing Marvel and DC right out of their own industry.

When a character's sexuality/race/etc. is the focal point of promotion, history shows that it's usually a sign that the writers are hacks whose primary goal is to pander in hopes that it makes up for their lack of actual storytelling skills (*ahem*CW's Batwoman*cough*)

Batwoman in the comics was actually really good though. The Elegy story and then the New 52 stuff. And to my knowledge, Kate Kane never really existed in the main universe until that point. She was killed off in like the late 70's or early 80's. That's like a 30 year gap of inactivity and like 2 reboots back.

I wish these morally bankrupt journalists would stop with the vague headlines that do nothing but stir the pot. Hes a new character. Most people wouldnt care a bit due to that one detail. And the ones who do still care should take a personal inventory.

Sometimes it just bypasses his invulnerability, so it's no more effective on him than anyone else but still a much better option than throwing your fucking gun at him.

Other times it straight up Kryptonites him.

Basically the only way to predict which is by who is doing the magic.

Constantine will probably have a good time.

Its nitpicking, but its more like he isn't invulnerable against it. So magic effects him as much as it does anyone else.

If you've played Persona, it would be like a character who is neutral to fire. It deals normal damage. Kryptonite would be like a character weak to it. More damage and extra turn.
