For those playing Arknights, what did you think of the current story?

I thought it was pretty good, save for a few moments with Anime fight with the Inquisitors and Kal just appearing to deus ex machina at the end Fun dread, a largely great cast. I do want to see more Irene and Anita .

Did have arknights overly and needlessly verbose writing style, but it seems that's just how they do it at this point so given up being frustrated and just read the story after doing everything rather than as I do it.

Also wish those like Skadi were actually as good as they were in the lore. It makes sense with Shining and Nearl etc, as purposely holding back, but when they're meant to be "make Surtr look weak" power in lore, it'd be nice if they were remotely that >.>

Dropped Princess Tale some time ago as it was getting to the point of feeling like an interactive chore list than a game. Starting to think "idle" games in general are just not for me.

Dragon Raja also remains for now until my storage space finally forces a decision. Even then, whose to say something else doesn't do something to warrant removal instead in the future? Gumi, NetMarble and Boltrend have reputations afterall, and Nutaku kills things off at complete random sometimes.

Same appeal as characters in any game. The characters have dialogue, backstories, involvement in storylines, abilities, etc. You just get them randomly instead.

I'm still playing the same 4 games that I've been playing for a few months (Revue Starlight, Princess Connect, D4DJ, Tenkafuma) but I've been playing D4DJ a lot less lately. It's a lot fewer hour-long sessions trying to full combo songs and a lot more quick logins where I play 2-3 songs for dailies and that's it. Probably not gonna drop it though unless something else I really want to try comes out and I don't have room for it. On another note...

Revue Starlight is celebrating the 2.5-year anniversary of its global server and the 3-year anniversary of the original JP server, and both sides are getting plenty of good stuff. I heard a JP player say that they have a step-up gacha where the last step is a 10-pull that guarantees all 10 cards you pull are 4-star stage girls. It probably costs a good chunk of gems to reach that last step, but that's still an insane reward, and knowing that the global version has that to look forward to in six months means I can save up for it.

I kinda want to drop Lost Word, as the gameplay seems to be mostly just "click auto" and mindlessly grind events. Characters are fun and all, but its starting to get stale at this point, everything is just feeding back into itself.

I'd like to try Blue Archive, but I may wait since I hear Nexon has their hands on that.

In Arknights I got everyone the newest banner in 135 rolls, including a pot 6 Akufuyu. Thorns popped up at around roll 60. Kalt'sit and Skadi the Courrupting Heart came on my last 10-roll. Just enjoying the event story so far, but as others have said its wordy as usual. Will be stockpiling Orundum until La Pluma's banner.

Yeah, the code worked. A big shout out to YugiNoob for the contest and to Stagmar for graciously passing the prize to me. You both just covered my 6* selector package in Arknights, with the help of an $8 cupon from my reward points!

Are we supposed to be sharing what gachas we're playing? I'll join in:

It will at some point in the future. You have about 6 patches/months before we get it, if we stick to CN's event schedule. The collab will also get a rerun sometime after that, too.

I think I played Blue Archive JP enough and I gotta say I'm pretty satisfied with its gameplay, my only issue is it seems even stingier than Genshin in unlocking characters you want and how much real money rolls cost.

Hope I can get Hibiki+Shiroko on my tutorial 10x roll without having to reroll, coz it seems like Hibiki is the one char who makes a massive difference in whether you will struggle or easily tear a stage apart.
At least Shiroko is grindable. I'll have to save up gems for months to spark Midori approximately 2 months after release...

I dropped pgr after a while when I realized I was really only playing it because of the graphics. The gameplay was extremely repetitive. Like, best way I can describe it is X-Blades if you ever played that game back on the 360 or PC.

Stage 3 CB bosses are something else. I'm thankful people smarter than me are doing the TLs because Is never be able to figure things out.

If that looks fun, it's because it is fun. Until you realize that's literally the entire game. So expand those 7 minutes into like 8 hours and that's X Blades. It gets boring fast.

PGR has more variety and multiplayer so it's less monotonous than X Blades but it wasn't enough to hold my interest. It's free so definitely give it a try, but don't drop something you're heavily invested in unless you're sure you'll stick with it.

For fun, aiming for top 100 in the AS new thingy. I'm at 107 after trying again today. My first try was at like rank 800, so trying again with all my teams once more resulted in a major boost in rankings. I think people in general just didn't bother making a lot of units like I did. I mostly did it to climb Spire, and I'm above F85 on all the elements, which I'm proud of cuz it was hard as fuck to do. But yeah all that effort paying off considering I only ever bought like 2 monthly packs and didn't spend on anything else.

Oh, and the beginner Philyshy pack too I guess, which was a dollar

PGR is best as a side game and played in small doses. The criticism is valid but I still find a lot to enjoy, so I've been sticking with it since launch. I'd say at least try it if you like what you see so far. You may end up enjoying it like me or you could end up burning out fast. I really can't say which camp you'll end up in. If you have questions about the game or need more pros and cons, I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.

The day resets at 07:00 UTC. I'm on the west coast of the U.S. with daylight savings time, so the game resets at midnight for me. You can use worldtimebuddy or another service to convert that to your local time zone. When announcements go out about maintenance, events, and gacha banners, the time given for the global server is always as UTC.

I figured I'd get a head start on rerolling for Christina by doing the initial reroll before the 25th. How is Anna for the tutorial pull in PriConne? I know she's no Makoto, but I remember I kinda wanted her when I initially played because she reminded me of Jack the Ripper in FGO.

Anna is not particularly great. She's not truly bottom tier overall, but she's been pushed out of the PVP meta by Illya, and she's only likely to see use in mage CB comps against bosses without much AOE.

Eh, well I guess I'll hold onto her. Given my luck I'm not gonna get Christina on my first try anyway, so chances are I'll have someone different when I get an account I'm happy with. Also, after watching the first few seconds of her story I get major Megumin vibes from her lol

Yes, Alpha is now part of the general pool, so you can reroll for her if you want to.

If you click on the "Rules" button in the gacha, you can see what's in the pool under the Drop Details tab and see where you are on the pity counter under Research Log.

I hear the rotating banner will have her as a rate-up character next month but there's no official confirmation on that. It makes sense though.
