Those films are all rubbish. It doesn't matter which is the best.

So those are the choices huh? Well I picked Phantom Menace for a couple reasons listed below:

-It equates young Ben Kenobi to Luke Skywalker in watching his master fall to a Sith lord.

-It establishes that the Sith are evil badasses (Darth Maul).

- The Podracing scenes are incredible (and both podracing games are great).

-Chemistry between young Anakin and Padme feels more organic.

The glaring flaw of the film is, of course, Jar Jar. Though Jar Jar is mainly just a plot device that exists so that Qui-Gon can parley with the Gungans on behalf of the Naboo.

Without his existence, Naboo would have likely lost to the separatists. This means that Anakin and Padme never reunite, Luke and Leigha never are born and Anakin never becomes Darth Vader.

Jar Jar is the linchpin of the entire Star Wars universe, a mere fool, and I think it's time we start admitting it.

*Deciding between Phantom Menace and Rise of Skywalker is tough. Love them both but I feel like if I pick Phantom Menace, its because of nostalgia.

Years didn't have anything to do with it. Once Disney paid the equivalent of the GDP of a small nation for it, they were always going to get their money back. And that means churning out films as if their lives depend on it.

I actually liked Attack of the Clones.

I love all the Star Wars movies, but the romance is what drags Attack of the Clones to the bottom for me.

I can suspend my disbelief on so many things, but thats just too much for me lol.

I will never understand the praise for Revenge of the Sith. The movie was boring and stupid. Force Awakens was the best movie in that list since it was at least entertaining.

Mostly because this board doesn't know how to talk about Star Wars. The majority only know how to shit on it, and have been that way for the past four years. It's the same topic every time with the only difference in the last six months being talking about Visions when it came out and even then it was half people shitting on Star Wars in general.

Yeah, id say the love for it is 60% meme confusion, 20% saw it when they were 6, 20% like it because of ancillary prequel material tricking them into thinking the prequels themselves were good

The actors had zero chemistry together.

When I remember the movie, I mostly just remember Obi-Wan and Jango dueling on Kamino and then in the asteroid field, the big droid battle at the end, and Dooku pimp slapping Anakin down.
