The judge already said that as things currently are, he's not dropping the weapons charge as Kyle was still illegally carrying a weapon. Granted, that'd probably be a different trial entirely (at least, that's what I assume, I might be wrong). But in any case, the judge did make the statement that he's not dropping that charge.

The judge recently said that he needs time to clarify what the original lawmakers intended when they passed that law. There is still a chance he dismisses the possession charge.

Watching both videos chronologically as it happened... Rosenbaum guy was chasing after him for some reason, and was aiming for his gun, and then Rittenhouse turned back and shot him a couple times and killed him.

The more I read about it the more it seems like Rosenbaum chased Kyle with the intent of getting shot - literally got let out of a mental health facility for his second suicide attempt earlier that day.

Yeah Rosenbaum was borderline suicidal. BUT it seems to me that his immediate intent was to take the gun away from Lardo, not necessarily hurt him (of course he might have done so afterwards, who knows). He did throw that plastic bag, but that was probably more to confuse Piggie rather than really hurt him if it had even hit, seeing as how it wasn't that heavy. Fatty pulled the gun away from Rosenbaum when he went for it, then leveled it at him and murdered him in cold blood. It's all on camera and the testimony of the witness.

Why is it murder? Because Shittenhouse is not some innocent passerby who randomly got attacked and had to defend himself. That's not self defense, that's AN EXCUSE so that he can shoot people. He just kept going all around looking for some literally crazy bastard he could "defend himself" from. You don't go into any situation with the mindset "there's a good chance I will murder some people here, tonight with my illegal gun and my fanny pack with two band aids, but that's okay because I can just claim that they were attacking me". That's already criminal. But no, he's out there "defending property", which of course is just scum talk for playing vigilante.
