Donkey Kong was originally going to be POPEYE but the deal didn't go through. Donkey Kong was popular, so pretty soon the talks were back on to make a "Popeye" game. The graphics on the arcade version are amazing. it literally looks like the cartoon. The NES graphics are what you'd expect from early Nintendo and are still good.
