It's pretty clearly going to be the one that's getting subtracted the most to make up for it. So E. Practical solution. Let A = 0. So B = -1, C = 4, D = -3, E = 6.

My 3rd grade students could have answered this, it's not going to make anyone even try hard.

Technically you could solve this by counting on your fingers, so probably my first grade students could have solved it.
