There was no tension the entire movie because it obviously seemed fake and you're just waiting for the twist that he's on drugs or in a coma dream or something

But then they're like 'yeah it was all real and we just paid literally every person in his life to be in on the joke, shut down a whole hospital, and somehow got an on-air tv host to be in on it to'

They drove a car into the river with him in it. And then were like "yeah we had a scuba guy down there just in case he couldn't get out" lol

All I remember is that it's revealed when he thinks he is going to commit suicide but instead lands on a giant inflatable cushion.

Looking at the Wiki summary the movie begins with friends saying they enjoyed their experience? Which is really quite something. Especially since these games require basically everyone involved in their personal life to be in on it.
