Court documents also said that Eisenman told police he was probably under the influence of methamphetamine when he killed Sorensen.
He said at the time of the murder, he was using meth on a daily basis, according to the court documents.

Yes, the guy he killed was literally some scrawny, autistic worm with no social circle. Trafficking has become a buzzword.

And that other case getting buzz about a Krystul Kizer that heroically killed her pimp in self defense? She went to his house(and bragged to others) to rob him and steal his car over a year after she had stopped dealing with him in any way. Hadn't seen this guy in over a year. Went there to rob him, killed him.

Cyntonia Brown wasn't pimped or trafficked either, which is why she was locked up. She slept with a drug dealer, and took one of his guns and killed him as he slept in bed, then stolle his money, drugs and jewelry and went partying with her freinds.

From me glancing at those topics, yes, there was a strong tone of high-fiving for vigilante justice.

She also said she had been homeless for three weeks and had been passed around for sex.
The officer notes, however, that she and Sorensen went to the Seattle area just three days before she ended up at the hospital in Spokane.

Have we ruled out time travel or that she might be from the mirror universe?

To be fair though, most of us (myself included) didnt read the article and just assumed that it was already known that the kid was guilty and thought Well if thats the case, good.

If I knew that it wasnt confirmed that he sex trafficked I wouldve withheld judgement.

Makes sense if you're operating purely on the idea that everything happened as presented

In reality this ended up being a bunch of meth junkies getting into it, so the results are ultimately unsurprising

In all honesty? I debated this incident under the assumption that the murder victim was guilty of that crime. My goal was to establish my firmly-held belief that no one is worthy of taking someone else's life in vigilante judgment regardless of the crime committed except in cases of immediate threat.

That's what I took my share of grief over.

I didn't take a stance to challenge whether he was actually guilty of it or not, because I couldn't know either way, and any argument I made to that effect would be of little weight.

Regardless, this outcome, such as it is, only serves to underline a very practical reason not to support vigilante judgment, even if my argument was more along the moral/ethical avenues.

What about vigilantes that don't kill? Say, an irl Spider-Man? Not attacking you, just curious on your position.

Well the thing is we don't have Spider-Man. We don't have a reliable and foolproof means of subduing criminals that wouldn't cause threat to their lives. Like webbing for example. We only have means that would potentially cause serious harm to someone if used improperly. Bats, punches, tasers. All things that could kill someone else.

I can get behind the ideals of a citizen looking to bring criminals to proper justice under the law, but the risks associated with that for both the citizen and the intended targets make it a poor idea in practical terms.

And then of course, the vigilante might also make mistakes, and themselves be subject to the law.
