They literally are not children hence why the age of consent is 16 over here.

Yet they are still not a child. Mentality doesn't equal who and who isn't a child.

So you're around 16 year olds a lot and still don't understand what children is? Maybe you should change that.
No need. Theyre children. Nothing about them says adult. Not even physical appearance.
Unless you have something between child and adult in mind?

because honestly dude embracing that as the thing that keeps you from fucking minors makes me wonder if maybe you really want to be fucking minors.

It is illegal in a lot of the US, yes. Its also wrong imo, weird that the notion triggers you.

Yea. They really must.
How about adolescent, or, you know, teenager?
Ooh, this explains a bit.
I see any teenager under 17 as a child. But you see teenagers as something other than children.
In that case, they arent children in your eyes.

Going along with the idea that a teenager is a child, even more so a 16 year old then I guess places where the legal age of consent is 16 and they can legally work at 16 are advocates for child molesting and child labour. Clearly this isn't the case as you know they are not children.

you arent looking at them objectively, and thats okay

you're comparing them to who you are now and youre remembering yourself at that age and thinking about all the things you didnt know yet

they arent children but most of them arent quite adults yet either. We put hard rules into place to protect the young which is a necessary thing of course, but everyone know that people mature differently its not like a switch goes off at 18 or 21 its a variable thing and age is just our best rule of thumb.

Personally I dont think of most people as adults until they are around 25 or so

I get people mature in different ways at different times. Though you can easily tell they havent matured yet. Though yes, Im saying this based off of Not a small amount, but Ill admit, not enough to speak of all kids, especially considering certain factors.

18 is the age when someone becomes a adult. Even if you didn't go along with that 20 is where teens end so that's for sure a adult. It's a odd mindset to think someone 18+ isn't a adult considering a 18 year old can do what a 25 year old can legally. Why is 25 the magic number for you?

The brain doesn't really stop developing until your mid 20s. Whether or not you consider 18 year olds adults, there is generally a pretty huge maturity gap between 18 and 25. Most 18 year olds still act like children in my experience. I think people mature slower than they did a few generations ago, probably due to the luxuries that we live with now

what about it? It isnt an easy thing to enforce. People fuck each other. Its mostly a thing that can only be used to punish someone after the fact and if its a case where the law says its allowed then obviously some people are still going to have their own moral objections personally.

Because by and large its weird when adults want to have sex with teenagers.

Again maturity doesn't equal age. 18 is a adult hence why you can do all adult things at 18. It doesn't matter if the brain has stopped developing or if they act mature or not. Suggesting otherwise is very odd.

UnMead posted...

Nope. Even ignoring the 16 - 17 year olds adults fucking each other legally is perfectly normal. Hence why some porn is legal for example. Sure 18 is a adult but could still be classed as teen I suppose. I find both younger and older people attractive. Once 16+ it doesn't matter to me as it's legal. Even more so if a adult. Not sure how that would be considered weird.

Limiting people to shitty wages until 25 because not a adult would be worse than it is now for 16 year olds in England for example. That's going slightly off topic with that one but it's all part of being a adult legally.

The Pikachu arrest happened fairly recently (October 29th, 2021). Long story short, the guy in the photos was allegedly using Pikachu as his "wing man" when picking up very young girls online and in person. It should be noted that there are tons of photographs that he would give to his targets (some of which he is not wearing clothes and is holding the Pikachu) and text messages and chat messages showing he is guilty as all hell.
That dude is definitely going to prison.

As for the Pikachu, I hear he has a really excellent lawyer and that the judge really likes him so Pikachu should get a slap on the wrist and will go free.

Doesn't really matter if you recommend it or not. It actually helps some folk through things I hope you never have to experience yourself. Sadly we can't get weed on prescription. It should be as far as I'm concerned or at the very least legalise it for medical use so then people who actually use it to help them don't have to jump through hoops to get it.

Exactly. It's all about making your time with a terminal illness as less painful as possible.

Its probably not worse than taking medication for it.

I've tried medication for anxiety and it didn't do anything for me. I'm aware some medication can make people worse but everyone is different when it comes to drugs.
