It is definitely a bit awkward. I usually do Cait's awakening first turn for haste and Mog's G+ for protect and shell.

Ergh, I think I go for something for Orran to clear out physical wodins since I have all the magic wodins done. Whats the better tech for him his sync or awakening

I also use Cait awakening first (well sync most of the time) and Mog glint+1 and then Mog awakening 2, I save Mog's awakening 1 for the end of the fight when both Cait's sync and awakening are time'd out.

You definitely want Orran's awakening for Wodin, and well everything you bring him for it. His sync is very good too but more for a full break counter and a last minute buff so it won't see as much use in elemental bosses.

I decided to finally spend some more level 4 lenses to get Rikkus chain (plus her imperil USB) to take on phys water-weak WOdin, and man... Tidus sync2 is insane

This was with me waiting around for a few seconds doing nothing before death because I thought it was sooner than it actually was and I wanted to have full ATB post-rez. 100% crit from Wakkas sync was also great, and Tidus was just laying down 29999s constantly. Wakka was even capping through aegis. In retrospect I possibly could have one-chained it? Not sure.

My first clear was about 32s, but then I realized I had forgotten to actually equip the realm weapon I bought for Tidus... I also accidentally brought my WOdin deck instead of the HC (since I was just swapping out Elarra for Yuna from my phys water team), but it worked out well so I kept it for the reclear. I cleared Sin with the magic team and was originally planning to do the same when I got around to this DK, but I guess he doesnt punish phys as much as Sin (just an extra 3 barwater).

Sub-30'd VII DB with Mog/Cait/Red/Vincent/Reno (25.55s).

Felt kinda bad to have to drop so many motes to dive Vincent/Reno (especially Reno who I will probably never use again) to shave off a third of a second, but doing physical on this fight was too annoying. With that I just have three DBs left, and none extra to sub-30

Got a slow (36.33s) phys lab Alex kill (possibly could sub-30 but I messed up a bunch... getting too used to wait mode) with the RW chain.

Yeah I would thrilled with that time (or a kill at all) for the 650 version! I haven't even beaten the phys dark WOdin, though.

I did beat another three transcendent bosses (Omega+Shinryu, Omega Weapon, Proto-Ultima). Just the four newest ones left!

I also took down VIs DB (which I had been putting off because I only have Terras fire stuff) but cant seem to quite sub-30 it... Leos good for breaking rage, but him basically not contributing to the chain starts to add up after a while (especially since I was trying to cheap out and not buy Strago or GogoVIs HAs):

The silence is also really annoying; it takes so long to use esuna or UC. Besides maybe trying more to sub-30 that I guess Im done with DBs for the moment until I get more BDL for XV or Tactics

I did a 15 mythril pull on FF15 and I got Aranea's sync! I tried FF15 Bahamut with her, Ardyn and Prompto and I got 37 sec, a cut down from my previous team of Gladious, Noctis and Ardyn of 47 secs. She gets her hero gear soon so maybe with that and some good RNG I can get that sub 30.

Tried her against dreambreaker Ifrit and yikes! She mauled him!

Huh. First try. Seems like I put this one off way too long (and that I could probably get an easy sub 30 if I piloted it better)

I sub 30ed V and VI DBs. VI is funny, it kinda seems like it's easier if you have an off realm character because he starts phase 2 and 3 with off-realm stop which you can shrug off, but if you have no off realm characters he does a damaging move instead. My Relm died to that move at the start of phase 3 but Mog was able to keep the team alive long enough to get the job done.

Did you have any better way to get rid of VI DB's silence than UC/Esuna?

It's really annoying that the first one is before you'd have Mog AA2 up and the second is right after you've recast it so the esuna chase doesn't help... I'm not sure if I'd be able to get the sub-30 even if I make Strago's HA.

I was using a physical team for that one so silence didn't matter. It's just coincidence that I'm stronger in physical than magic in that realm (well, coincidence and not liking Kefka so I usually avoid drawing when he's on banners)

If you're going mage the best thing is to try and go as fast as possible before he silences your DPS characters and put them in slots that prevent them, or try to time the new realm chain so the astra prevents the silence (easier said than done because Ice Dragon uses sap a lot too.) One thing I did in phase two was use Kefka's USB with his awakening and Terra's wind USB and Awakening so they could go into phase 3 with chases on their attacks to try and kill Ice Dragon ASAP.

Also I would make Strago's HA, it's a 6 hitter and he's a chain holder, what's not to like?

I have Stragos wind AA so he wouldnt be chainholding with it (and hes no longer good enough to make my wind team now that I have both Fujin AAs). The main reason Im hesitating is that Id be pretty annoyed if I made it but still couldnt get the sub-30

You don't use Strago for water? I'd be surprised consider how few water mages are in the game.

My water mage team is Meia/Arc/GogoV. Its one of my better ones at 5 BDL!

I see, Strago is better than Arc if you can get his stuff though since he's got a 6 hit HA and better infusion options. His awakening 1 will be added to anima lens shop when it updates if you don't have it yet.

So I can't kill iv db with rydia earth sync/aa, tellah aa, and palom sync and I don't know why. Rosa just refuses to keep them alive. I even use Cait sith and his aa at 40 and people still die. Like what the heck I have her sync and her regenra USB and people just... die.

Sin is still a jerk... The other 6 DBs I tried recently were all pretty easy to sub-30 in one try. Sin I probably did ten+ tries trying to get it down and in the end it still took me 32 seconds with Tidus's sync 2, dyad, and awakening, Rikku's dyad and awakening, and Paine's +BDL sync and awakening.

Yeah Im definitely glad I had four BDL for the mage team for that one...

Mage Abductor is done. He hits pretty damn hard, and I had forgotten all about how annoying the S1 gimmick is, but after a few attempts, I got the hang of it.

I thought the Slow in phase 1 and phase 4 would be a major problem, but I just had Cait Sith use both casts of his AASB to counter them. I just had to hold his turn a bit.

With Serah's Sync and Rinoa's Sync 3, I had 2 ATB syncs now, so this team really is ridiculously stacked.

Five PPs to go for this lab season, three of which are phys Alex rewards (none of which are weapons). Don't think I can't beat him, but maybe I can get him to 70%...

Kiros: awakening, USB (row QC), would probably lens imperil LMR

Rufus did not impress for the 580. I guess maybe Seifer/Garland/Kiros?

You could also lens Sephiroth's AASB.
Seph with Sync1, AASB and USB2 is a top tier dark pick.

I think I'd want to run Garland, Seph, Seifer with your relics.

Yeah, Sephiroth's awakening (which gives 500 SB) plus Zanshin is a great combo. Plus he has hero equipment.

And yeah Sephiroth was the other one I was considering. I still need a bunch of chains though so if I could avoid lensing an awakening that would definitely be ideal.

I recleared the 580 version right before this and somehow despite being able to beat the 650 could still not get a sub-30 on easy mode (got it down to about 32s). Maybe radiant shields fault?

Anyway, spent the ticket on FFT again

I might try going with Seph for the 580 later when I feel up to running it again; if he can get close to dishing out 99999s I may be able to get the sub-30 that way

(Though I guess another issue with that team is that Seph, Garland, and Seifer all want one of Demon's Cross/Taboo Raid for either a sync rotation or, in Seifer's case, because I don't have the non-elemental crystals to make his HA... may have to wait on it after all!)

Beat transcendent Triad with Tidus/Wakka/GogoV/Mog/Elarra. The five second cooldown on the RW is pretty annoying if youre going too fast...!

4/11: Gaffgarion G+2, Golbez USB2, Estinien LMR2, Lion BSB (dupe)

The Golbez USB is actually kind of good (self 99% damage + 100% stoneskin, dualcast darkness until you lose stoneskin), but with his dual+sync+awakening+chain Ill probably never have the gauge to use it!

It is pretty good since you can combine it with any of those other SBs and get an extra cast. But yeah, with all that it's hard to use it.

I had to buy Stragos wind HA to do it, and I almost cost myself the sub-30 that run because I accidentally had Gogo mimic Mogs HA instead of Stragos. The key ended up being to have Cait esuna instead of Mog since I could hold his turn to deal with P3 silence immediately (as opposed to Mog who has to use his AA2 right before). Still took a few tries even after figuring that out, though.

Finished farming perfect passives for dark labs and swapped out my FF1 team for FF8 now that I finished getting 200 magia for everyone there. When doing so I realized that my saved FF8 team had an elemental sword for Kiros instead of the realm sword... so I guess I must have done the DB/DK without it for some reason?

Ticket day! Got a dupe Shantotto awakening... At least I can combine the armor and make a 8* hat with lightning damage boost now...

Also got my ticket today. Used it on Lightning and got Kain AASB2 and his AOSB. Not bad at all.

I got Maria's CSB+. Good pull, now I need to get one of her syncs in order to put her back on my earth team.

Ravus is making me think about new characters. TBH I'd rather have fewer characters instead of more since there are already so many who get neglected. BUT, if you ignore resource constraints and just think who would be fun to have, are there any you'd like to see?

Hmm I guess the throwing my remaining 100 gems from my dream purchase on this banner probably doesnt make a ton of sense even though my XV sucks. If I got anything worthwhile for Ravus that would get me a DB clear, but hed be pretty dicey for the DK since I wouldnt be able to lens a second SB at all for him (and the banners literally half Ravus).

FF15 only had like 8 characters (and I'm sure most of you forgot Cor is even in the game.) So getting new character isn't really a issue for that realm, plus the game came out after FFRK.

I did a pull on FFXV to see if I could get Ardyn stuff. I got two Gladiolus dual awakenings, maybe I can sub30 Bahamut now?

Also don't forget to get Ravus' stuff from Kite's shop! It's 5/5/8 from the bat. Even if you don't plan to pull now he might be useful later if you grab bag his stuff.

Also I know Kaxon is gonna hate hearing this but if FF1 gets more characters most likely they're going to be from the Strangers in Paradise game as an advertisement.

IMO every realm should have 3 physicals and mage DPS for realm content since bosses are getting bulkier it's harder to juggle mixed teams with physical needing crit rate/damage buffs, FF1 will probably get one of the SiP guys as a mage (probably the guy with pink hair or the new girl), FF11 is getting that new girl so it has two mages now but it still should get 1 more. FF12 should get a third mage to go with Ashe and Vayne, I guess someone from the DS sequel? FF15 only has 1 mage, Lunafreya and it's the only realm without a black magic user! FFT should get Reis since Montblanc is more of a support than a dps.

They probably could have made Reks a mage... it's not like he really had much of a mechanical identity from FFXII!

Trying to think who else they could add.. Reddas, Ba'Gamnan, and Vossler would all be physical.

Maybe they can make Feolthanos a mage for FF12? Though I guess that would piss off the Caius fans if Revenant Wings got it's last boss before FF13-2's.

I think Ill probably do one pull on the XII banner and then save for fest. Ashes dual would be really nice (I assume it combos well with her SA2 since its a +BDL command one?) as would any Vaan stuff.
