MadDewg 01/06/22 1:03:50 PM #13:	With tales of games, I always put preference on how fun they are to play and how likeable the entire cast is. I am also a huge fan of doing air-combos, so I never was much of a artes-tree fan since you cannot jump thus no air combat in these games, the gameplay system tales of graces f, zestiria, and berseria uses. (Out of these 3, the first 1 graces F is actually my favorite because of the parry mechanic being pretty cool. Zestiria's battle system is just a whack-ass version of graces F's, and berserias while an improvement on the move customization part starts to feel a bit button-mashy). I do got a kick out of tales of arise's system since its this new blend of having full 3D combat yet found a way to bring the jump button/air combat back. It feels like it can be improved though, so I hope that is a thing for the next tales of game if they are sticking with this system I have a bias towards the team symphonia style/feel tales of games, so xillia 1/xillia 2 for that improved style of gameplay (they are a package deal, and even though xillia 2 is my favorite in the series and a great deal better gameplay wise than part 1 it doesn't feel right to tell someone to play the sequel without having touched the first game), vesperia for being the best all-rounder....it has the most unlockables outfits before DLC became the majority of outfits, 9 characters who all feel different to play to mess around with, and a shit-ton of post game content, improving on what symphonia and abyss started with all this stuff, and tales of destiny remake for that practically perfected old school 2D tales of gameplay. --- GTag:MadDogg730 PSN:lMadDogg NNID:xMadDoggx I bet my left nut on bloodstained ritual of the night being awesome...I like my left nut IGA, come through for me. <cite>MadDewg posted [p:961522326] in You can ch... I never finished the game, but Vesperia apparently has one of the best and it's gameplay is pretty undisputed as peak. I like Zestiria, but not as much as others, and found Berseria boring. I don't remember Abyss well enough to comment on it. Of the ones I've played that really only leaves Arise; which is excellent on all counts. The story is somewhat weak in a few areas, but overall delivers a consistent high quality package with great characters and some of the best gameplay in the series, imo. Arise is the only one in the series where I actively sought out fights because I was having so much fun with the combat. Most of the others I start avoiding encounters; especially in the back half of the games where everything becomes an HP sponge. --- Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't.
