I would rather a simple redesign of Spiderman, with the web shooting out of his ass. Seems like the better way to go.

Personally I find it really strange that someone would write a story about a dude who got spider powers from being bitten by a spider, who yet does not have the spider's most iconic and obvious power.

Also, if you want to help people and you invent the webshooters, it's going to he way more efficient to bring them to industrial market or something where they can greatly save labor.

Webshooters are far better. If it was organic, it wouldn't come out of the wrists.

That doesn't exist.

Is there any that uses both?

Like the default organic web is super strong and all that, but the custom web can do different things (electric, fire, freeze webs. Webs that poof into a smoke screen. Expanding foam. So on).

It's actually more believable that a spider teen would make organic webbing, rather than a teen that happens to make some of the most groundbreaking proprietary technology imaginable.

Organic webshooters are gross. Toby comes off as the dumbest Spider-man by far since he didn't need to invent the web shooters

They only ever came up as a plot device that made me groan, and the stories would be better off without them.

Yeah, that's how it was in most continuities until the mid-00s or so (whenever the spider lady gave rebirth to him)

I like the tech shooters because it helps show off Peter Parker's intelligence and creativity, and that he was working on becoming Spider-Man even before he got powers.

Not just iconic and obvious, pretty much the main thing that sets them apart from other arthropods and sensitive animals.

Kill two birds with one stone: Have the spider be genetically modified and chock-full of mutagens that are being handled my nanomachines that are injected into the victim. Nanomachines are great handwavers, son.
