Even though there's casters, analysts and hosts from Wales, France, Belgium, the UK, South Africa, the US. Doesn't matter that they're all from very different places and cultures, they're all white (in a continent that's 95% white to begin with) so it's BAD.

I get her frustration as those comments will get to anyone, but alienating, and attacking your niche fanbase isn't the way to do it - we can't pretend G4 in it's original incantation hadn't adhere'd to the notion that sex sells a few times in its day with an anime block to boot.

Yep, his is having huge blowback for G4.

But I was told that there were no toxic comments on their subreddit.

And, like I said, after the comments blew up(AKA, them posting Frosk's rant on YouTube), the comments started appearing.

Seriously? The amount of negative comments before and after this whole debacle was a huge difference. I did some research, and barely anyone commented about it on YouTube and Reddit...now literally every topic about G4 is just hate.

It's almost like making the speech increased the amount from something negligible and tantamount to nothing(either because the comments were gone as soon as they were posted, or they were in such small numbers
that no one would have noticed them) into something that could possibly cause long-term damage to the company.

That very clearly was not my argument.

There was no reason behind it given you couldn't even see the arguments in any official capacity. Whereas right this moment, despite the video being many days old, you can see all the negative comments on the Frosk video as well as other videos she's featured in. That means either A). There was minimal comments like that to begin with. Or B). It was a non-issue.

I gotta admit, this cold war that's been going on between gamers and the gaming press since 2014 is pretty funny.

Honestly, no one really listens or takes to heart what celebrities or journalists say, since they're kind of removed from your day to day life.

It's gonna require gaming communities actually pushing out toxic people for things to change on a large scale
