This thing had Stockpile, Leech Seed, Swagger, and Recover, plus my Mamoswine missed with Icicle Crash when the Cradily was in kill range 3 separate times. After Mamoswine went down due to confusion damage, it got to the point where I had to just keep switching between my Rotom and Azelf over and over, not using any moves, until the Cradily eventually ran out of uses of Leech Seed, Swagger, and Recover. I still managed to win and keep my BT streak alive (this was battle #41) but this single battle against this single Pokemon took a whole entire hour for me to win.

TL;DR: Fuck stalling and fuck Cradily

Gen 4 was arguably worse for the entire battle length, but I've never even tried gen 2 because basically all you had was either super strong sweepers, or stall things that even their counters can't do better than a 2hk on where one hit was a crit.

I have a shiny, competitive Cradily with a similar moveset. The thing is a monster if used correctly. Definitely an underrated Pokmon

I don't have the TM for it. I used the one I got during my playthrough and I'm still hoping for a seller in the Grand Underground to pop up with one to sell. In the meantime, I'm probably going to replace one of my coverage attacks on Azelf with Nasty Plot to deal with stallers like this.

Swagger has 15 normally, Leech Seed and Recover have 10. But I think the Battle Tower Pokemon might have max PP, so it would be 24-16-16 instead of 15-10-10. I was too annoyed to actually keep count.

It means a Machamp with the ability No Guard, where every move hits it but it will never miss.
OHKO moves one shot anything they hit but are usually reined in by having 30% accuracy or something.

I saw a doubles strategy years ago where you have Machamp use mimic to get sheer cold from its partner since nothing fully resists ice, but I guess if you had the rest of your team backing you up for battle tower you could settle for fissure or something.

Don't know if the 'Teach any move' glitch works in the most recent patch, but basically you can put Sheer Cold, Fissure, etc on a No Guard Machamp and run wild.

Perfectly ethical since the AI cheats all the time, and you can't use it against human players.

I'm actually still on version 1.1, so I can still use the Menu Glitch and all of the other glitches that come with it, including that one. I just wanted to achieve a 49 streak and beat the Tower Tycoon's second battle legitimately before I made something broken like that to farm BP.

Yeah, but you would need a trade evo for that.

What would you suggest as a bp farmer?

You're right, so that Machamp isn't an option for me. I think once I get the 49 streak, I'll just replay the first 21 over and over again to farm BP. No glitches, just beating up on weaker Pokemon and beating the first Tower Tycoon battle over and over again.
