That said, inserting a chip in the brain definitely sounds like high risk surgery, and for Elon Musk, someone who genuinely has no experience in brain surgery, I'd be hesitant actually undergoing the procedure. Though, Elon Musk's idea is completely hypothetical, it probably won't ever happen, but man would it be nice for people with schizophrenia and autism to actually be given an opportunity to be normal functioning members of society and not leeching of disability payments, spending their recreational time constantly goalshift posting on a gamefaqs topic. Meanwhile I've seen people trying to unsuccessfully convey their emotions/needs burst into tears numerous times. I live in a country with awesome social benefits. In a city that's actually famous for being a pioneer in mental healthcare. And still ended up as a 16 year old intern being left unsupervised for hours on end with 20 people that ranged from barely speaking to not at all. That shit's just not okay. And it happens daily all over the world.
