David Hayter, as Snake, was charismatic.

Raiden was full of character.

even Kiefer Sutherland, when allowed to speak, for the original Big Boss, performed pretty well, IMO.

Norman Reedus, playing Sam Bridges, on the other hand, had no charisma, had no character, gave a dull performance, etc.

this isn't necessarily a knock on Reedus, since I liked his character in TWD, from what I've seen of it, but idk besides that.

He did a way better job than Kiefer did

if you're just talking about with Venom, then I agree, but if overall, then nah.

Yeah, and get Keanu Reeves in there as well.

Reedus' character in Death Stranding being flat was due to the writing and tone of the story more than anything. And Kojima's "fully serious about being fully silly" writing.

even though I didn't care for the character, Higgs probably did the best job in the game, IMO.

I know Kojima is really into movies, but idk if it makes sense to employ all of these actors when he can use voice actors instead, who have more experience, deliver better performances, and are most likely cheaper, too.

I think Reedus delivered when he needed to. He was emotionally dead for most of the game.

His scenes near the end had some challenging material (more than anything Hayter or Sutherland had to do) and he handled it fine.

Reedus can play more than just a "I'm dead inside and hate everyone" person.

only if Kojima is gonna be making games with "gruff biker with kind heart" as the protag/villian only from now on.

I've got to disagree.

his whole detached, deadpan delivery made sense in the beginning, but I didn't feel like he progressed from that as the game went on.

I have never seen a picture of the dude where he looks clean. I have googled pictures of him at the red carpet and he still looks like it's been six months since he took a dip in the local crick.
