If I go to a website and consciously choose not to look at their ads it isn't piracy either. Neither is skipping ahead in a YouTube video to get past somebody's in video sponsorship. That being said, I think most of the people being stolen from "have made it" so to speak, while the people stealing haven't. I don't think it's so black and white. We need to support the arts as much as we can, but we should be afforded the right to steal SOME art without punishment. I think the arts stimulate imagination and growth of culture. I think if people want to be artists themselves, it's probably a good idea to steal some art tbh before you make it. I think it will make them a better artist. Stealing isn't as clean cut as it seems anyway. If people didn't steal, they would never consume, i.e., watch, listen, etc. to the art and thus never be able to recommend the art to others.
