i just had the closet duel of my life

im running a burn stall heal deck (no archetype)

they had 3 golden lords out skill drain and 2 solomon cards that block spell and traps

they where down to 500 LP

i had 150 LP

my last card out was a face down giant germ

they attacked and i won

they did summon a XYZ monster with a destruction effect that would have killed my germ letting them win but their own skill drain blocked it

I'm convinced that new accounts have some sort of rarity bonus, like how drug dealers always make sure to give you good shit for your first hit before selling you crap.

I tried to make Shaddolls on an alt and pulled all the URs I needed in 2 10-pulls

Wouldn't surprise me if the first like 100 draws have a boosted UR rate seeing as they don't need to disclose the rates in the west.

I finally made it back to plat 1 and now I can just relax and enjoy duels again. My last duel for ranked was funny because it was another player that doesn't actually read their cards. It was a zoodiac tribrigade player and I had vanities face up on the field. They summoned Zoodiac whiptail because it says if it battles it banishes after damage. But it only applies if the card is material for an Xyz monster.

Also ran into 2 more crooked cook exodia decks which is why I'm afraid to play anything that doesn't have piercing. But thats why the Invoked cards were the first things I crafted.

and now i just had the most BS duel ever

i did not even get my first turn

they used a combo of royal library and bamboo sword cards to mill their entire deck to get exodia

they had 3 cards left in their deck at the end

Dont feel to bad. That deck is horribly inconsistent. You're probably the first person it's worked on.

I was going to say this. The fact that it actually went off is just as crazy as them crafting it in the first place.

Also side question. I know IP Masquerena is really good but why is she good? Im still playing thunder dragons. Wondering to craft her, a gold sarcophagus or heretic order of the sun(the good dragon Link-2. I might be butchering the name)? I could get a third imperm or other staple but Im good on those.

I have access code, apollousa etc as well.

Yeah prosperity and extravagance are great if you don't care about your extra Deck.

Bad news about the future of MD, there will not be any best of 3 and the game will have it's own banlist separate from the TCG and OCG. I'm afraid this will eventually hurt the longevity of the game as the main Yugioh players who would normally continue supporting this game will go back to duelingbook to play competitively.

That's a damn shame. Feels like a Komoney move to get peeps to buy gems to make MD exclusive decks that are separate from the TCG banlist.

Also, someone pinned a cool compilation of combo lines for several decks on Reddit. Would help with dipping your feet into a deck if you were hesitant or didn't know where to start.

Yeah prosperity and extravagance are great if you don't care about your extra Deck.

It's great if you don't normally use more then 4-5 extra decks monsters. Making it a great card to have early game. And pretty busted turn 1 to be honest.

I think I somehow made my Eldlich deck on my side account even more toxic. Imagine facing an Eldlich deck that ran Vanity's Emptiness to stop your special summons once Golden Lord was out and also ran Imperial Custom to keep Vanity's Emptiness from destroying itself and keep you from destroying Skill Drain, Imperial Order, or the Golden Land trap monsters.

It's one of the best "Yugiboomer wanting to play with something familiar until they get the hang of things and decide to build a real meta deck" decks out there. Not super competitive against top tier decks, but Chaos Max Dragon and the rest of the recent Blue-Eyes support still make it a decent rogue deck.

If people could stop top-decking Lightning Storm, that'd be great lol

I made it to gold with my synchron deck. Now time to get stuck in gold.

Tonight, I was able to OTK three people with a 9,000 ATK Power Bonded Chaos Ancient Gear Giant in a span of five duels.

Edit: 330 unless I wanna use lower rated hand traps. 2 more Maxx C and ash blossoms make up 120 of the 330 so that would be 210 and then... hmm. Yeah, I can probably make this work with a little luck.

The game got me. They gave me the cards so I made a Dragonmaid deck. I know they arent tier 1 and are considered waifu but damn they can be fun. Still learning them.

Thunder Dragons are still going to be my go to. The combos and comeback potential is staggering. And its nice just being one of the crazy kinda meta decks.

But at the same time I wanna build Drytron. It looks like toxic fun but the investment seems steep . Maybe I should do this Alt account thing.

Dragonmaid with some good padding cards for the main and extra deck can be scary at times. Oops you just drew your only link fodder for a parallel exceed combo into an xyz 4/ link 2 that will then let you (something beneficial to your current board or else retrieving things from the deck).

...okay so when I read that live twin and eldlich work super well together I didn't expect it to be this effective. Only lost one duel and that was to a pure eldlich deck that opened with effing imperial order.

Just trying, by God, to grind the stupid trap mission so I can do that 1337 pro gamer exploit someone mentioned in the last topic.

But fucking hell. It's literally impossible. I can't activate a single goddam trap. Lightning Storm. Twin Twisters. MST. Zeus. It doesn't matter. Every single person nukes backrow. My deck is literally nothing but traps. I just want to get SOMETHING off, lose, and move on with my life. Fucking hell lmao

edit: FINALLY. Drew into two impermenance and two evenly matched, which let me finish the "5 traps in ranked" mission. Even capped off the duel by suiciding with Ring of Destruction lmao

You can do some pretty nutty things with Six Sams still. Sadly the banlist is like a weird hybrid btwn TCG/OCG, and despite OCG having Gateway at 3 (I think? they certainly used to though) MD banlist has it at 1.

But when you draw gateway and it doesn't get Ash'd, you just won. Six Sams can still do infinite loops with Mizuho and Shinai, which you can eventually reach 5 materials with Rhongomyniad turn 1 and just essentially end the duel right there.

I know I need to continue working on the build, I have a decent start but ran out of gems before I got everything I needed. I have Gateway but with it being limited I need a better way to consistently pull it. The Link Summon Six Samurai guy maybe? Also need to learn how to better use cards that werent in Duel Links. Loving the one trap that brings back 2 Samurais from the graveyard so I can easily get a second Shi En out though.

Only need 27 more UR points to gen the last card in my deck. I gotta say, going unicorn to access talker for a 5300 attack monster is nice but using my link 5 underworld goddess to get a 7300 attack monster is just sexy as hell. Never get to attack with it since the opponent always forfeits by that point, but still. '_'

Did you craft all the SRs that give free packs for 2-3 secret packs already? I know chances are low to get an UR from them but it's something to try and squeak out those last 27 UR points lol

You could add more floogates/negates and Lava Golem to make a really annoying stall/burn deck:

Would you mind telling me some more? I kinda yolo built it. Most of the times I have beat the deck it took a lot of resources to finally thin the Dragonmaid deck to have no answer. Which is what made me want to play it. And was lucky enough to get 2 house and Sheou to make the deck work correctly.

Grrr Now I want Masquerena. But she isnt critical to the gameplan.

No problem haha. Honestly I highly recommend joining the MD discord. They have channels for just about every archetype and you can ask/learn a lot of things about them. Especially combos or decklists.

I think you are right. Im a lot more into this than I thought I would be. And i knew if I started playing it would be hard to stop! But Im one of the people that likes how the board state can go crazy and you have think deeper on how to protect yourself and get through the other side.

Lol it is definitely addicting. And I'm just glad you're enjoying it despite the frustrating factors it can have. Yes most of the time the game isn't the back and forth chess matches it used to be, but trying to dissect a board like an elaborate ever changing puzzle and coming out advantageous gives a feeling of elation and "got damn I must be an intellectual!!" that a lot of things can't give us lol

I ended up making that Shiranui Eldlich deck (that I mentioned on the last page of this topic) on my side account, my third deck based around Gold Daddy Eldlich. I think I'm having way too much fun with him and all of his traps.
