see i do enjoy the game when i can just do a casual duel

but to build new decks for that i have to play ranked duels to get gems and im fully stuck in gold rank now cant win any duels to get more gems

and when i do that i encounter the same hand full of deck types

and every deck plays the same as they are all about the same strategy OTKOs

That's a legitimate complaint about MD. They really should implement an unranked mode so people can play casually or test out new decks. I really hope that add that feature soon.

The only thing is I can see players still enter unranked to grief or to test the meta decks because they don't have a hang of it yet

That's fine. If people are testing there is a higher probability that they will make misplays or suboptimal plays. People will also be more likely to run suboptimal builds. There should definitely be an unranked mode for people to test decks, whether meta or not.

Just add more formats and stuff.

So as I mostly get Abyssal Underworld and Immortal Royaly packs due to me wanting to get zombies and vampires, I have ende dup with a bunch of Eldlich cards. Maybe it's even enough to make a deck.

I agree about needing an unranked mode. Just trying to warn Ace that it won't be completely devoid of meta decks I'd imagine.

Yeah Eldlich is pretty budget which is why a lot of players gravitate to it.

Hmm, I have finally started to climb through Gold... somehow. Sometimes people just surrender out of nowhere, maybe they didn't get good hands. Had one person mill 3/4ths of their own deck first turn only for them to surrender.

Decks can brick and can get really garbage hands. There is various ways to grind. But yes, you will either have to go Rogue or cater some to the meta. Thats how it is in every card game. One of the reasons I like Yugioh is that even though the best deck is that way for a reason there are decks that can compete with them. With the ban list being the way it is Im surprised there isnt a tier 0 deck floating around.

I think I got lucky with my Alt though. I have enough to make about 10 URs and they gave me 2 EldlichI think I might go to the dark side.

Unless someone can convince me Drytrons are the way to go.

Both archetypes seem toxic though XD I did get a El Shadoll construct though too. So I could potentially do Invoked/Dog/Doll

Yeah. I swear people surrender out of shame sometimes. I generally like going second as a lot of my decks call for it and I can't tell you the number of times I brick so badly only for my opponent to surrender out of nowhere lol

Just won three straight with my Ancient Gear deck, and all three of them involved me Kaiju-ing away a boss monster they summoned on the first turn.

Seem to be having some success after combining my Skull Servants with Eldlich stuff.

I'm still kinda mad at myself for losing to an Endymion deck because I botched the math when attacking with my King of Skull Servants, and didn't summon the UniZombie in my hand to give me a second attack that would have sealed the game. Instead, he survived with 700 LP and then did Pendulum things and bounced the King back to hand, so I lost.

I'm kind of curious what monster that Dino player thought was worth summoning ro allow you to pull all those cards.

On top of masquerenas effect, the only thing I can think of that would probably guerenteed him the win was Borrelsword dragon.

Welp, it happened. My Alt got too big to failso I guess Im a filthy Eldlich player now. I can see why people like playing it.

So now I have my Rogue main and my Meta Alt. I would not have expected to be here two weeks ago.

And I finally bit the bullet and crafted Masquerena. Now I just need to figure out how to use her better.

I am so deep into this right now.

Had an hour twenty minute duel Sunday morning against a Japanese player.

We both Maxx C challenged on our first turns.

I lost because they got some 4000 attack syncro out that could negate basically anything and pop off the field while to safety. And by that point I didn't have enough cards in my deck to Maxx C again without risking decking out.

Somehow never drew either eldlich in my deck with 6 cards left. :(

Me too. But damn is it fun. My first Eldlich ranked game I get matched up with Dragonmaids. I just couldnt due much after the second Sheou. I used so much stuff and played well butthey swarmed the boardugh.

Won the second though but it took some work

No Eldlixirs or other search? Or was it it counter each other into no tomorrow so no one can find what they need?

The latter. Oh, for some reason even when I had eldlich traps in my graveyard and plenty of cards in my deck still, it wouldn't let me activate their effects to remove them and place a new one on the field. I checked the replay and nothing they had on the field should have prevented me from activating and resolving them at the appropriate times. And it wasn't a matter of missing the timing or anything, either. I've used the deck enough to know when they should be able to resolve. :/

If you guys want a cheap and fun oonga boonga deck, I highly recommend joining the Crusade! Here's my current list

The only thing necessary in the Extra Deck are the 2 Equimax, 2 Magius and 2 Regulex. Dugares is great, especially if you open Parallel Exceed, in case you don't draw/search Maximus. Rafflesia is hand trap protection and the 2000 burn helps get the WAN PAWNCH easier.

8 Kaijus aren't necessary. You can/should run 6-9 depending on preference. The Interrupted Kaiju Slumber isn't necessary either but it's great as a board wipe or baiting Ash.

There's a dude on the Master Duel subreddit who has been making cheap N/R -nly decks, and some of them look really fun. They're great if you want to build a new deck but are low on SR/UR resources and also great for building first on a new/side account to use until you earn most of the F2P gems to make a better deck. Plus he includes what SR/UR cards would make for good upgrades to the deck if you want to keep using it later.

I really want to build the Yosenju deck in that third post. Yosenjus were actually the last deck I ever used before I quit playing IRL and sold off all my cards.

looking for some suggestions to improve my evil hero deck

first i do know to add none evil heros for support

so yes i do have prisma and shadow mist in my deck

would doom lord be a good support card cus of his banish effect

are vision heroes any good

i do have 1 copy of burstinatrix avian clay man sparkman and wild heart for their evil hero fusions but i never even get them out but i dont view them as dead draws as i do have plenty of equip cards to buff them and wild heart has torn through some foes for me

so really just wanting suggestions for cards to add over all i like my evil hero deck just want to make it abit better

side note burstantrix avian clayman and sparkman need upgraded versions with effects

call them legacy elemental hero X

burstantrix could say have an effect that lets you deal damage based on the heros in your grave yard

clay man could get a DEF boost based on heros in grave yard (also a spell card that adds his def to his attack and gives piercing but destroys him after the battle phase its used and base this clayman off the hulk)

sparkman just give him the spark blaster as a effect

avian uh let you special summon a hero when he is summoned

ooh and make a sparkwoman card as a joke based on that 1 episode of the anime when rei first showed up and he went "oh no wht will my wife spark woman think"

The first three would basically be worse than their original counterparts since they would be trading vanilla card support for battle/burn effects. HEROs are about bringing people out from the extra deck so people probably wouldn't run these at all due to them not starting or extending plays.

That Avian effect would get everyone running 3 of him probably, although he's sort of been preempted by this dude

If you really want to release retrains with effects that encourage keeping the base HEROs on the field, I think it'd be best to design them to have interruption or protection effects. Clayman could make HEROs unaffected by the effects of monsters with ATK lower than his DEF, and give him a passive DEF boost based on how many HEROs are in the GY/field. Sparkman could force your opponent to discard a card if they draw by card effect. Etc etc

i faced a tri brigade deck and it activated a banish effect but then chained stuff off it and then i was not allowed to use my negate to block the banish

If the opponent had multiple simultaneous effects, they can choose the order they go on the chain.

If your negate doesn't target, then it can only affect the last thing on the chain.

Basically impossible for your opponent to stop you from your choice of either negating their floodgate or making them give up a monster. Combine with Halquifibrax-> Accel Synchron for funny interruption

I feel like Skull Servants need more dedicated extra deck support.

This is also why Tri Brigade is so meta. Shuraigs banish is also not a targeting one. It can get through a ton of protections due to this. Also if there is a backrow you have to assume its Revolt. Its the Tri-Brigade card that alllows them to link summon on YOUR turn which is probably what happened. Also if they have Tri Brigade Rugal out (Link-3 guy). He can special summon a Tri type monster on the opponents turn to get a banish with Shuraig without a revolt going off.

But, your opponent has to pilot them correctly and banish the correct thing. Big targets are blind normal summons and specific special summons. This is of course if you dont have a way to pop the revolt before hand thus forcing them to waste the Banish.

I hope this helps. I know they can be frustrating to play against. Its why I play decks that can swarm the board and force them to beat me with Zeus.

Yes they do. I've been running a 60 card that grass looks greener skull servants and any time I get grass I win

It's funny people who don't read card effects before they act.

Too many times I see people trying to activate monster effects after I used Harpie's Feather Storm or a guy who used Harpie's Feather Duster on Hysteric Sign

So I cashed out of Dragonmaids. I get why they are good but I cant make them work the way I want them to. So I tripled down on my Thunder Dragons. Got the instant fusion and Gold Sarc I needed.

The deck is very fine tuned now. Hoping it will take me to platinum. Just need to put the time in
