The one I own is massive. I've had an entire chicken cooked in there.

I don't own one buy hate frying shit at home so rarely do. If the food is somewhere between baked and normal fried than I'd call that a win just for the health and ease of use factor.

I own a small one that's good enough for my needs. I only cook fried food in there instead of using the stove or toaster oven. It's not big enough to, say, cook a pizza. But for what it does cook, damn is it good.

I have one, it's one of those Instant Pot pressure cooker/air fryer combo things. I don't do a ton of cooking so I haven't used it extensively, I mostly just use it to crisp up frozen fries and to cook chicken shawarma (the one recipe I learned with it which for a while I was making weekly) but it's good stuff.

Health-wise it's not different than baking, it's just called an air "fryer" because it crisps things up nice like being fried.

Air fryers are amazing. Thought my sister was full of shit till I bought her one and started using it. Best thing I ever got her.

It doesn't really do a convincing facsimile of deep frying. "Convection Toaster Oven" would be a more accurate name. But it's good at making quick meals during the week.

Yeah, I can thaw a chicken breast for a couple of hours, season it, toss it in there for like 20 minutes. Perfect.

I can do the same thing in the oven in 35!
Literally no point to owning one of these things.

I've got an air fryer oven from Black Friday. I'd love to use it, but I have no idea what to do as far as time and temperature.

for anything vegetable related, it tastes as good as sauteing and requires 1/100th of the effort

for anything in smaller parts (think fries or wings), it tastes as good as baking, requires 1/20th of the effort and 1/5th the time

warm up time in the oven is wasteful, having to use parchment paper or aluminum foil in the over is wasteful, air fryer is better

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

There is an extreme difference between something cooked in 20 minute vs 35, and Im not just talking about time saved.

Cutting the time almost in half doesn't sound like no point to me.

I do not own one, but a friend of mine does and it seems to be quite convenient for her.

One of my favorite parts of visiting is cracking a frozen pizza in half and baking half in the air fryer and putting the other half back in the freezer for later.
