Honestly, I didn't find the Dinomist/Zefra deck too bad? Now the Ruin vs Demise loaner duel was an absolute shitshow that took a few days before the A.I decided to not draw perfectly against my Brick Hands.

Bro, Ruin/Demise was a chore for me too. I was not expecting them to pop off like that deck does. Was fun finally beating it though.

It probably would have been better if there weren't, like, three different ritual cards that maybe work with the ritual monsters you might have in hand, but maybe not because it's the wrong name/monster (but you can't tell since, if I remember correctly, all of the Ruin/Demise cards have the same name in the hand and on the field?), and hey, good luck figuring it out!

The ones I hated most from the original ones were the uhhh network bug ones. Had such bad luck having to get the opponent to have an okay opening hand while I got a viable one. Too many times I'd have a good hand but the opponent won because they had the main engine cards and I didn't so they got the advantage.

I just faced an opponent who set up Apollousa Bow of the Goddess with 3 negates, Borreload Savage Dragon with 2 negates (but only once per turn), and Infernoble Knight Emperor Charles on turn 1. But he made one fatal mistake: also leaving a Mecha Phantom Beast Token from O-Lion on the field. Despite not drawing a Kaiju, I was somehow able to skirt through all of the negates and Charles' destruction effect and still OTK the dude with Chaos Ancient Gear Giant and its piercing damage. The token being left there for 4500 free damage was the only reason I was able to fully OTK, but even without that, I think my opponent might have surrendered anyways after Chaos Giant fisted all of his big monsters in one turn.

I mentioned earlier that my main account fell to Gold2 earlier today, but my side account actually made it into Plat4 after that win I just talked about, the highest I've been on either account yet. Fisting people with this stupid Ancient Gear deck is so much fun.

I'm at that frustrating part where I need 100 gems to grab another 10 pull, but can't really seem to get it. The one option I do have are doing the Secret Missions, but... I don't think trying to summon Gemini monsters (four more and I get that 100 gems) in Plat is a good idea.

Wanted to change things up and I pulled a Balerdroch so decided to play some zombie world Eldlitch. Tri Brigade player got totally shut down since they can't link zombies.

i reached platinum rank 1 a few days ago with traptrix
a deck i use mainly to annoy 10 minute combo decks

now im free to play fortune ladies because ive already reached the top

I found that the hardest loaner duel in solo by far was World Chalice sans Ib VS the Mekk Knights. World Legacy Shield walls 99% of your loaner deck and you have like 1 out that's a 1 of in your deck and that only gets rid of it for 1 turn

Yea, those world chalice duels were utter BS. Even more so becuase you have little to no extra deck. Which makes sense lore wise at the time. But still makes for a horrible experience overall.

To balance it while still adhering to the lore they can just give you a crap ton more traps to out the bigger threats.

The text says "This card is ALSO still a Trap Card". This means it is both effected by things that target effect monsters and things that target trap cards.

Yeah. At the very least, with things like AA Zeus you have to have had an xyz monster engage in battle earlier that turn. Or heck, madolche's 2500 beat stick one can only be a rank up when it's for a madolche rank 4 xyz monster, but you'll usually have used the xyz effect when you got them out so they won't let you get one with all the materials still attached.

I am... incredibly mad at myself. Lost a game with my Tri-Birbs (Harpies, not Lyrics) against a Virtual World deck because I grabbed Fraktall over Kerass when I had already used my summon, which left the opponent with 200 LP left. I mean, they deserved the win in the end because they still could have bricked, but... that one just hurts.

Yeah, the Digital Bug one is ridiculous, it's extremely consistent even on the first "duel" (the one right after Practice). Feels almost as if the AI's hand and draws are rigged.

But at least the loaner deck for that duel still works.

Zefra Dinomist loaner deck is horribly terrible because those two archetypes don't work with each other AT ALL, while the AI plays a pure Dinomist deck, which naturally means it is more consistent than your deck

Hello, I'm trying Master Duel (my phone is burning); pretty much newb about YGO game but I know about YGO.

Just finished tutorial and choosing a structure deck. Any pointers on what the do's and do not's for F2P?

PS: What's the most newb (but not-too-noob) deck suitable for first timers and F2P? I heard about Sky Strikers being fitting in that regards?
PPS: What's the deck with the most amount of waifu-cards on it?
PPPS: Is there any deck centered on Red-Eyes?

Sky striker deck is easier to make as a f2p because most of the cards are N, R and SR. A few important ones like SS Engage and Kagari are UR as well as some hand traps like Ash Blossom, Ghost Belle, Maxx C etc.

However, sky striker can be a bit difficult deck to pilot, specially in a competitive environment. Though its a top tier waifu deck. Dragonmaids are also a waifu deck archetype which is also quite good

Don't waste any gems on the master pack. It's card pool is to large and the chance of you drawing anything specific is close to zero.

The other packs are far better and have a good chance of unlocking the secret packs you desire. Which are packs that guarantee at least 4/10 of the packs you buy will be of the archetype you wanted.

Another is by buying a SR or UR(preferably former) of a specific archetype you want which unlocks said pack. And the first time you do this. You get a free pull. Which you can abuse you obtain many more. Getting you a net profit in the process.

As for the kind of deck you want there's plenty of easy ones, but without knowing your preferances it's hard to way. I actual don't recommend one that's to easy if only so you're challenged enough to learn the game proper.

Oh, I forgot to ask, but in that Bundle Deals that has Ash Blossom, Lightning Storm, & Solemn Judgement, they are well worth the gems, right?

edit: After buying those three bundles secret packs appeared and they only last 24 hours?

About preference, really just looking for something leaning on the easier side to handle while I familiarize myself with the stuff.

They should be amongst your first purchases. But the Ash Blossom bundle in particular is the most important. It's a staple hand trap in most decks, one you're want 3x of. Along with 2x called by the Grave in order to counter it and numerous other things. Another is Maxx C but not as much, at least in lower rank.

As for a simple deck, off the top of my head. For beat down style There's blue eyes, galaxy eyes, and trains that specialize in summoning high atk monsters.

For OTK there's cyber dragons, Numeron gate or utopia

And for control style there's Sky strikers, Eldlich, and or Traptrix.

To climb and even have a chance you have to have 3 Ash and 3 Maxx C minimum. Ideally you would want 2 called by, atleast 2 infinite impermanence, 2 forbidden droplet, and 1 niberu.

The secret packs are a joke. Ive tested them myself and the luck on them is straight garbage. I have had such better luck rolling on Stalwart Forces on getting any UR sometimes even 3+ per 10 pack. Has allowed me a lot of flexibility and helped me amass the staples I need to win

I got to Plat 1 with 1 ash blossom, 1 maxx c, 1 Nibiru, 2 Called By. That's with pendulum magicians

The UR and SR odds are the same for every pack in the game (2.5% for a UR, 7.5% for an SR) so your luck must be really weird. The vast majority of the time, secret packs are far better for building a deck than any of the other packs because they maximize the chances of getting the specific cards needed for a specific deck/archetype. The only exceptions are if you're building a deck where an important UR/SR card is featured in one of the normal packs (Blue-Eyes, Eldlich, Shaddoll, Sky Strikers, etc.) or if you need one of the staples (like Desires or Twin Twisters) from one of those packs.

Thats very plausible. I have really odd luck in video games. Always have. Ive had the bad luck protection kick in so much with the secret packs that I feel like Im being messed with. Im not complaining either just saying what worked for me as I had to find a work around due to my luck.

I wish they'd release the recent sets so I can play penguins at somewhat full power lol

They couldn't summon anything else without dying from burn, and they couldn't even attack because of the blue live twin making it cost 500 life points for them to attack. They had nothing. <3

*How is synchro-based decks? I chose that one in the beginning so I think I will build on that instead of redoing from scratch as I learn.

*There is 'structure deck' section in the shop. Are they worth it?

*What are those two zones in the middle?

The starter decks have almost nothing that's going to help you long term, so dont build your decks based on them. But if you actually like the Synchro mechanic, go for it. Six Samurai is a pretty popular synchro deck. And you can get a Shiranui deck from Solo mode.

Structure Decks are...sort of ok? You need to buy 3, they've got a handful of non-craftable exclusives, but are only good if you want that archetype.

The two zones are "extra monster zones". They're designed for Link monsters, but any monster from the Extra Deck can be summoned there.

"How many cards" depends on the deck. Generally you want to keep it as close to 40 as possible to maximize your chances of drawing what you need. But there's nothing wrong with having more than that as you're experimenting. Just remember to periodically tweak your deck. If you're running a 42 or 45 card deck, think about what cards you dont end up using a lot and remove them.

There are 60 card decks, but those usually have a specific reason for being 60 cards, like some lightsworn variants.

For Synchros, Virtual World is the popular deck with Swordsoul looming in the future.

Shiranui aren't as competitively viable but can be damn good fun as a synchro deck.

I think there's also Blackwings for a Synchro deck, but I honestly have no idea if they're any good. Also, while I know Maxx "C" is a popular hand trap, I'm honestly not sold on it... although that might be because whenever I play the damn thing, it almost always gets Negated by Called/Ash/Crossout Designator. And the one time it didn't, it was against a Danger! deck, so I got to take the Challenge.

Currently trying to decide if I should try to make a final push towards Plat 1 (still hovering around Plat 4), or just take it easy since the season resets in a couple days.

I would wait. Dont burn yourself out trying to get plat 1 with like 2 days left. Hit the ground running hard with the new season

Yeah, that's looking like the plan. I mean, if I still get there before Monday (even just getting to Plat 3 for the gems), that's great? But I'm not going to try and blitz it, and I won't be too annoyed if I fall back to Gold.

I can likely get to Plat with my deck and I have only lost 3 matches so far (one being the hacked one) but I have only gotten to Gold 5 and didnt really play much after that. I guess I just get nervous when playing sometimes

I wish they do Exhibition more often because that was fun. It's what made my gold Duel Pass go to 100.

Been there man. You just have to power through. And Ive been through some bullshit too. Like the auto surrender glitch. Just know the worst thing that can happen is you misplay. And it will happen. But getting to the other side of a misplay is important.

Anyone have a good Raidraptor Ultimate falcon turbo deck? I've actually never messed with Raidraptors but Ultimate falcon has been my favorite XYZ card thanks to Waking the Dragon.

The misplays in my match against the Zoodiac Tri-Brigade got me nervous. I won but I could have done so without making silly mistakes. Ill try to climb to platinum next season. Ill learn from the misplays hopefully

I play enough to complete the daily challenges on both accounts for maximum gem income and that's it. Once a new duel pass starts (I've been at tier 100 for both accounts for a while) and brings more rewards, then I might play more often.

Speaking of daily challenges...

For you guys who have been doing the "leave the 6 cheaper dailies unclaimed and only claim the 3 most rewarding ones each day" trick to maximize daily gem income, don't forget to claim all of them today because a new month will start after tomorrow's daily reset.

Yeah, I probably should start doing that with the new season. I had started to do it, and then promptly forgot a day or two later and decided to just do the non-Solo ones.

I get lazy so I just redeem the older missions anyways occasionally.

But if you do do the trick, your gem income is noticeably higher.

Yeah, you get 130 a day from redeeming the 3 biggest dailies rather than like 40-60 a day if you redeem every day and just do whatever 3 come up.
