Auto only lets you respond to pretty basic situations. Generally they're enough, but there will be situations where you either need to activate prematurely or activate at very specific timing. That's when you have to toggle On.

Off turns off every optional prompt whatsoever. Most effects that say "you can..." are optionals and won't activate if you have the toggle Off. It's one of the more advanced mechanics in Master Duel. If you know the nuances, then you can win situations that you wouldn't have otherwise.

You can also toggle off to hide the fact that you have an activatable hand trap. You might need some good reaction though, otherwise you might miss the timing to activate things altogether

Damn, no Raye no play. Happened with me because I got bricked hard since turn 1 and couldnt really do much against a simple D/D deck. Then I defeated a BEWD and Phantom Knights player with ease.

I've been thinking about Sky Strikers for the past few days, about how the "action mecha girl" aesthetic is perfectly suited for my tastes and how the lore behind Raye and Roze reminds me a lot of two characters from an anime that I really like... and then it hit me. Why the hell didn't I build this deck before? Now I want to build Sky Strikers really badly, but I don't have the gems for it on either of my two accounts. Am I really willing to start a third brand new account just to play this deck? At this point, maybe.

You can craft most of the cards easily with N, R and SR points. You will just need UR points for 2 Engage and 1 Kagari. I assume you will have a good amount of handtraps like Ash, Ghost Belle, Effect Veiler, Nib, Forbidden Droplets etc.

Yeah if you have staples, then you can make a full Sky Strikers deck in a single 10 pack if lucky, 30 max tbh. By far the easiest deck to make in the game from what I've seen. Probably the biggest thing is like half of your decks are guaranteed N/R rarity all the way to the extra deck, and the other half of the SR/URs you need are all in one pack

Holy crap konami really went all out on the rewards huh? Like 20 legacy packs wow... I burned through all of the duels with my own decks and went back for the 200 gems. I won instantly because the dark magician deck completely bricked for 3 turns while I had a silent swordsman and 4 worthless gears.

On the upside pretty much all the decks have pot of extravagance from what I can tell so they're slightly less bricky. That or konami is admitting these decks are all complete garbage and just want you to fight through it...

Yeah, I've seen some people say they got it in a couple tries, and I'm happy for them.

However, it's the same problem that some of the other Loaner decks had; while some people got through it easy, others spent a lot of time running headfirst into the bullshit. In this case, I was in the latter category; A.I-tem spent three and a half hours smacking my shit up, and finally bricked and didn't have his board full of replenishing Dark Magicians about fifty minutes ago.

Even the second loaner deck in the new solo duel is already bullshit. What was even the purpose of putting that many Gaia fusions in the extra deck when we only get 1 Gaia vanilla and 1 Curse of Dragon vanilla in the main deck, and no other Gaia/Curse of Dragon monsters????

They could have put Rank 4 Xyz or some good Links that can help fighting the AI's deck, but no, they instead decided to cram the extra deck with multiple Gaia fusions that 90% of the time you can't summon because most of the time you won't draw any of the material, since there's only one copy each in a deck of 40 cards.

XYZs have rank. Which is different than levels. XYZ creatures can bypass things that check for level like Burder of Mighty or Gravity Bind since they do not possess a level.

no xyz card dont have levels they have ranks which are different
you cant replace levels with ranks
so you can ritual summon a level 8 ritual monsters using 2 level 4 monsters
but you cannot ritual summon using 2 rank 4 monsters because you need to use monsters with levels to summon a ritual monster
same with syncro summons you cany use xyz cards to syncro summon anything

Some genius went wombo combo with tri brigade to get out their simorgh and barrier statue. They summoned ominous omen on turn 1 for some reason too. What they didnt count on was Virtual Worlds being mostly wind (the important ones at least). Got basically a free win because after I banished their field and GY thry had 0 followup. They tried doing some bird shit but I had a nifty couple of negates.

I'll be sad when true king is banned but that duel really showed me he's not 100% necessary.

With the exception of summoning Shuriag, I am in this post and I hate it. In my defense, however, I didn't know it was Virtual World at the time, and Simorgh + Barrier Statue is usually a decent-ish turn one, especially if it can be backed up by a Harpie's Feather Storm.

Now the only "big" staples I think I need are Nibs and Called. Maybe some of the other Ghost Girls, but I haven't seen them pop up too much, so idk how important they'd be.

If you haven't touched Ranked at all I'd suggest giving it a try. You'll probably get a few match-ups where you get stomped, but all the way through Silver, a lot of people are still using jank. I think my last match in Silver was against a Ruin/Demise deck.

The Lyrical Nanoha connection is a big part of why I want to build Sky Strikers too. The lore (as seen on the various spell cards in the archetype) even seems to indicate that Raye "befriended" Roze with superior firepower, similar to what Nanoha did with Fate.

On another note, if you haven't yet, watch Symphogear. It's another "cute mecha action girls" series that was heavily inspired by Lyrical Nanoha.

Why are people having such a hard time with staples? I barely play, have one account and posses most of them, along with 4 or 5 decks I can make with almost 5k gems idk what to spend on yet.

All I'm really missing are droplets but dark ruler spent my current UR on 2 copies of dark ruler no more. Since my current maindeck doesn't like discarding much.

every other duel was doable with the loaner deck
then suddenly you duel a decently built dark magician deck against a downright terrible gadget deck

For some reason Doppelwarrior and Synchron Carrier (R and N respectively) from Stardust Ties don't want to come out, but I got two Tunings (UR) and Quasar Dragon.
OTOH I got two Junk Speeders (UR) but only 1 Junk Converter (SR) from Scrap Iron Junk.

Gacha logic at its finest, but it works on my end.

Also this is the first time I saw all glowy cards with rainbow holograms. Is it 'Royal Finish'?
And what does that monster slashing before you opening packs? Sometimes it comes out sometimes it doesn't.

I'm still annoyed about that, although I can at least appreciate that they tried to keep the Loaner deck close to Yugi's from the final duel of OG Yu-Gi-Oh. I just wish they hadn't turned the A.I into the Pharaoh, complete with "Ancient Egyptian Magic" (read: being a Cheating Bastard) backing him up.

I thought it'd be a lot worse from all the hubbub but the only one that I lost to was the Destiny Board one. I admit against Bandit Keith deck, I somehow just like... won every single coin toss, and the opponent summoned fucking 3 Barrel Dragons and revived 1, which comes to show the absurdity of the level of luck there.

Otherwise some of the later decks at least have some degree of fang. Joey deck was literally luck into big bombo fusion and spray and pray

I managed to get my Sky Striker deck built! I went through all of my cards on my main account and dismantled any SR's/UR's that I wasn't using (including some for decks I previously wanted to build but were incomplete, RIP Lightsworn and Danger Dark World decks) and ended up with like 180 UR dust. After completing my daily challenges, I had enough gems to make three 10-pulls in the Sky Strikers secret pack, and I lucked out and somehow pulled Kagari and both copies of Engage within those packs. Then, after dismantling more stuff, I was able to craft the remaining UR/SR cards that I needed.

The single copy of Limiter Removal was a last-minute addition because I randomly pulled it from one of those packs. All of the extra deck Sky Striker monsters are Machine-type, and after using Limiter Removal for a temporary power boost, I can just swap to another one to avoid the negative side effect. I didn't see any other Sky Striker deck recipes using Limiter Removal when I was researching the deck, but I figured I'd give it a try just for kicks. If it doesn't do much, I'll replace it with Nibiru or a third copy of Multirole.

I know I should not have made Trishula - Dragon of the Ice Barrier as well as one other UR Synchros (considering how hard it is to even get them out in the first place), but I still gave to it...

I managed to get my Sky Striker deck built! I went through all of my cards on my main account and dismantled any SR's/UR's that I wasn't using (including some for decks I previously wanted to build but were incomplete, RIP Lightsworn and Danger Dark World decks) and ended up with like 180 UR dust. After completing my daily challenges, I had enough gems to make three 10-pulls in the Sky Strikers secret pack, and I lucked out and somehow pulled Kagari and both copies of Engage within those packs. Then, after dismantling more stuff, I was able to craft the remaining UR/SR cards that I needed.

The single copy of Limiter Removal was a last-minute addition because I randomly pulled it from one of those packs. All of the extra deck Sky Striker monsters are Machine-type, and after using Limiter Removal for a temporary power boost, I can just swap to another one to avoid the negative side effect. I didn't see any other Sky Striker deck recipes using Limiter Removal when I was researching the deck, but I figured I'd give it a try just for kicks. If it doesn't do much, I'll replace it with Nibiru or a third copy of Multirole.
Limiter Removal is an interesting finisher. The most common one is to normal summon one of your hand traps, if any, summon Halqifibrax, summon effect veiler, link into Selene (some Magistus Link-3), use Selene's effect to revive Veiler, summon Accesscode Talker for 5300 and board clear.

Other one is to go into Hiita, Ablazed using either Kagari or Ash Blossom, summon their Ash Blossom in grave, go into Selene, revive Hiita, go into Accesscode. There are several options that turbo out Accesscode pretty easily. Until Sky Strikers get Linkage (Raye and Roze get cards called Scissoring and Linkage?) though, it's the safest win condition they have for OTK. Borrelsword is generally a great option obviously, but Accesscode does the same job but better

Just had the closest duel of my life (that I actually won)

My Sky Strikers went up against an Orchust deck, barely able to ping them for 1500 each turn. They Maxx C'd, but my only chance to get ahead was to suck it up and play normally. Cleared their board and set up Kaiser Colloseum, letting them go like, +3 in the process.

They Evenly Matched me next turn. I banish my striker, thinking it will proc Raye's revival effect. (It didn't. Now I know.) But Im guessing I outgrinded them because they end on a pretty weird board.

The last two cards in my hand are Drones and Ghost Ogre. Their field glows red so they have *something* they can activate, but it doesnt seem to matter. I luck out and manage to go into the Halqifibrax -> Selene -> Accesscode combo and swing for game over some 1200 atk monster they have.

Was a nice confidence boost, since I feel like I always manage to choke in these situations lol.

The first 4 duels with my new Sky Striker deck resulted in 1 loss (got stomped by Salamangreats) and then 3 consecutive wins... granted, I'm only in Silver2 on this account right now. One of those wins was actually clinched with a Limiter-Removal-boosted Hayate direct attack, so that was fun.

I have that Halq-Selene-Access link climb in my extra deck too. I just haven't had the chance to use it yet. I never drew Ash or Veiler in the win I mentioned above, and my other two wins ended with quick surrenders due to Kaiser Colosseum fucking the opponent over.

I was fucking around with Toons and made Simorgh + Barrier Statue turn 1.

Opponent was playing Dark Magicians and it never really occurred to him to just...attack the statue with that 1600 atk monster the deck has lol.

I think you should drop one Effect Veiler for Nibiru or Gameciel. Nib can ruin lots of decks, Salamangreat specially while Gameciel can check Herald of Ultimateness and or any other stupid boss monster. Also, you should consider adding one Ghost Belle and Forbidden Droplets in the future. Two Multiroles are fine

So, I've managed to pull together a CyDra deck as a back-up for when my Tri-Harpies deck gets tedious, and... it's been pretty fun so far. I also had someone surrender against me while in Gold 1, so now I'm in Plat... which isn't as big a problem as I bet they thought it'd be.

Simorgh + Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds, with a Harpie's Feather Storm set on the board, is pretty high up there on the "fuck your turn" scale. Naturally, it's my favorite combo to get out, although I also admit that it's not completely unbreakable compared to Simorgh + Apex Avian + Thunderbird.

Two Multiroles are fine

The reason I was considering three Multirole is because one of the main combos in the deck is Multirole plus Imperial Iron Wall. If I have both out, then Multirole can continuously recycle the Sky Striker spells and they'll never be banished thanks to IIW, plus IIW can disrupt some decks like Virtual World that do a lot of banishing. I didn't see it in many of the Sky Striker deck recipes I saw online, but it was something I thought would be cool and I wanted to try it. If it doesn't work well enough, then I'll probably remove IIW for a couple of Gamaciels or Lava Golems.
