Then when Covid hit they shut down the suddenly were working 5 days remotely. We are now given the option of 100% office, 100% remote, or hybrid. But since everyone is basically 100% remote no one is picking the office option. My friend is working for a company that insisted everyone had to go back to the office. I had to wear "nice" clothes, I had to hear everyone working around me, and (because I don't have a car anymore), I had to get a ride from the world's most insufferable douchebag and be out the door at 7am every morning. Now I work from home. I'm infinitely more productive. I'm more relaxed. I roll out of bed five minutes before my shift starts, clock in, and get going. I surpass the metrics I'm supposed to hit pretty consistently.
