People saying "don't buy Russian" are trying to hurt the Russian economy, but at the end of the day, it only hurts the Russian civilians. Take it a step further, these people will say "exactly, hurting the economy will turn the people against putin!" -- the people are against Putin. But it's Russia. Even the smallest protests end up with mass beatings and arrests.
