Most boys have a pyro phase where fire is cool as fuck and fascinating and you wanna play with it.

Yeah. I played with matches alot after my parents divorced. I almost burnt my dad's apartment down fucking around. It was a big deal. My mom actually sat me down, as a little boy and showed me pictures of kids my age that survived being horrifically burned. Just normal kids trying to live normal lives after being pulled out of burning buildings or cars or whatever. Children with a permanent smile from where their lips burned off. It was traumatic enough that I really didn't play with fire as a child.
Teenage years were different but mostly fireworks, nothing as destructive as open flame.

I did once when I was a kid, to kill a bunch of gypsy moth caterpillars that were huddled up on a tree trunk.

It was a bad year for those damn things. Our oaks got decimated.

Flamethrower is one of my favorite Pokemon moves. Shame the TM is often locked behind high prices or endgame locations.

Break the gate off the lighter, strap it to the can, and, fifteen years later, wonder how you still have all your fingers.
