A big one today! Instead of splitting the legendaries by generation I thought it'd be fun to do it this way. Most mainline games since gen 2 have had a legendary on the cover, these are the 'first' versions (Gold, Ruby, Diamond, Black, X, Sun, Sword).

I like Xerneas, but I remember thinking Groudon was so cool when I bought Ruby the first time.

"Blue" legendaries are usually better, but Xerneas and Dialga are both great.

Dialga is arguably the perfect example of a cover legendary in my eyes. Walks away with this one

tough for me between xerneas and solgaleo

i thought ho-oh looked excellent on the gold cartridge, but current drawings don't look as impressive

Ho-oh is just a bigger Fearow.

I struggle to understand how anything from Gen VII or VIII is getting votes here.

I've bought version B every time, but I like a few of these

PMD2 makes this an easy Dialga for me

Well they are the blue legendaries

Kinda surprised Zacian ISN'T getting votes, with the Great Cyan Wolf Sif vibes.

Ho-oh honestly kinda bores me even if it is one of two shiny legendaries I have in Go.

Ho-oh is mid at best in this group

I've always loved Ho-oh but ended up voting Groudon.

I didn't expect Ho-oh to run away with this, after this performance I'd be very surprised if Lugia doesn't dominate tomorrow.

My vote is for Dialga, though I appreciate what they were doing with Xerneas.

Zacian, Hooh and Groudon are all fantastic

Groudon for me. A lot of nostalgia there too.

reshiram and xerneas are the only two i like more than their "b" counterparts which i'm sure is the reverse to most people. i blame pokemon 2000 attachment making me a contrarian from the start (which is clearly also the real reason i'm the only one on the board who prefers slowking to slowbro too)

Reshiram is the only one I like more than its counterpart, so I guess that one. Tough call between it and Ho-Oh (and Groudon sorta).

Only realized Zacian is even in here. Not that it'd change my vote because I love Ho-oh but Zacian might be #2.

this poll and the next are among the easiest choices in this series. i really like Dialga and Yveltal and that's about it until third versions are considered.
