See twitter posts like this suck because everyone always wants people to grow and learnif that man he made fun of did have a disease and Will knew, would you not want him to later in life realize what he did back then and learn from it? His actions last night show hes not the same person. So its not like just digging up an old, bad tweet. Its pointing out growth and then attacking it for no reason.

Which is all good. But keep in mind you're using this to defend a man who just physically assaulted another man over a joke. He changed into a man who assaults other men over jokes he use to make himself. Not quite the caterpillar to butterfly story here.

Im 100% against bringing up old petty shit. But now this topic is in this wild place where people are being dismissive of something that just recently happened while using the reasonable argument of not bringing up old shit.

Id say bringing up old shit is less bad than completely dismissing something that just happened just because you like the guy. I don't even want Will to lose anything, I like him too. But if you let this easily go, he basically is using his likability to manipulate you. Because O can guarentee you would be all over it of a celebrate you hated slapped a celebrate you like.

Honestly, thos is just 2 wrongs not making any right. I do agree with the sentiment of not using petty old shit against someone tho.

I think the fact that this isn't typical behavior for Will is very important in this particular instance, where people are using this incident to make moral/character judgments.

Like yeah, if Chris Brown did this shit I'd be far less likely to go easy on him.

My point is that bringing this up serves no purpose. Yes, he is not perfect when it came to the assault, but this comparison is about the joke in question. If hes learned not to do that because of the experience hes had with his wife, thats a good thing. Slap or not, why post this with a aha! Gotcha! Tone? You didnt get anything. Youre just pointlessly attacking him for seemingly changing his views on something.

the slap can be talked about independent of that. He was wrong to do it. In that sense he still has room for improvement.

Yeah. Shits been building up with Will for a minute and it released. I really doubt he's proud of himself or feels good about it now. But he also doesn't seem to think he should apologize to Chris, from what I seen so far. So, I dunno. I highly doubt we will see him fall to thos behavior again. But he still deserves a heavy reaction to it. Then if he seems like he internalized it in a positive way in the future, we can revisit it. As of for now, he earned the speculation by doing this as publically as you possibly could.

I also agree it's a shallow thought process to not realize jokes land different on different types of people who come up with completely different standards and insecurities. People just want to avoid doing the legwork of breaking down why different reactiona come out of different people and the history/standards that effects why.

There was also no reason he had to slap him publically. I agree with the notion that if you do the confrontation publically, you can also apologize publically. Why should he get to try to humiliate someone publically and then hide his humility behind closed doors when it's his turn to try and make up for it?

So, do you think Chris Rock deserves nothing but an apology behind closed doors? Is that the justice you see fitting to what Will did? Chris Rock just gets slapped in public, takes it and no one sees the other person have to addreas it?

Anyway, in the end, it's whatever Chris Rock says he's fine with. If he's cool with that, I'll shut the fuck up

It is toxic masculinity to tell men hair loss isn't a big deal for them and they need to suck it up.

It's socially acceptable for women to wear all kinds of wigs and there is a whole shop dedicated to it on every corner. Would be nice if it were the same for men, but we can't have nice things with all yall being toxic.

My thought process was that if he publically humiliated Chris Rock, he should make it publically known he apologized so that the story in the future for everyone not digging into it isn't just that Chris Rock got slapped, not even apologized to and didn't do anything about it. It has absolutely nothing to do with what you said. Cause I think people who feel entitled to be apologized to for something that has nothing to do with them is also insanely dumb. I don't even like the idea that someone could of read your post, not come back for mine amd now think I'm the type of person who does lol. And Im someone who leaves a lot about myself open to speculation due to my humor. That type of entitlement is embarrassing to display.

Eh. Being bald is a lot more acceptable for men.

I dont condone what Will did, but as a husband I kinda gotta say I understand it. Most women Ive met, my wife included, care a ton about their appearance and put a lot of work into it. Im sure its even worse if you have to contend with paparazzi. If Jadas like that too, her losing her hair probably hit her super hard. Even if you dont see that through social media, Im sure Will saw a lot of it.

Then, on the night of the Oscars, Jada probably spent hours getting ready and had a dress picked out weeks in advance so she could be perfect for the occasion.

To see your wife go through all that and then have a comedian make a cheap-shot joke about the one part of her that bothers her the most and that she cant fix Id be mad too.

That having been said, you can only feel so bad for rich celebrities before you start imagining them wiping their tears with $100 bills, but theyre still people, and from that perspective I do understand what Will did.

It's not about believing Diddy. All he said was

Thats not a problem. Thats over. I can confirm that,

That doesn't mean much.

Also, I'm not seeing anything about this other source. The other source merely said Diddy talked to them seperately and confirmed they didn't meet.

Also TMZ is reporting an article from like an hour ago that they have not spoken or patched things up. Furrhermore, every new article coming out clearly points out there's been no apology and that be only apologized to the other nominees.

I think you're jumping the gun.

Child, you don't know jack shit. If you want to go that route, she can just wear a wig. 'No one cares about how bald men feel and no one cares about a man being bald.' And then you spend the rest of the post trying get into Jada's head and sympathize with her. You could not even pretend to give one single man a single moment of thought about what going bald might be like. Fucked up. And people wonder why men don't talk to anybody. Who is going to listen? Or worse, they are going to think 'who cares?'
