I don't know where this is going but this is my favorite ending to a Disney+ Marvel show ever.

okay holy shit I was really hating how unseeably dark the first half was but then back half absolutely won me back, that ending wtaf I literally jumped out of bed and it's 4am

Natalie Portman as Lady Thor for hype! It's not like she's a stranger to action roles anyway, she's been doing them since she was a teenager after all. EVERYONE!

Am I the only one who thinks of Heat first when it comes to Portman? Also before people start making jokes, I do think she's very beautiful but I highly doubt I'm alone there.

Good, I'll leave you guessing. Mostly just expressing hype for Portman taking a level in badass within this franchise.

You know, LMS, it's the least amount of weird if you just say "Natalie Portman is hot"?

I knew if I expressed excitement about Portman someone would inevitably point that out. Sigh. I did not mean to come off as "salivating" over Atwell or Johansson (and if I did it was as people, not as bodies), but admittedly I'm not the best at communication. I just threw it in as an afterthought just as a nod.

Portman in Thor was just whatever but I blame bad writing, not bad acting. Never saw Thor: The Dark World but apparently she wanted to drop out when initial director Patty Jenkins left which is a great sign. The first Thor was my least favorite MCU movie I've seen before Eternals (and even then it's barely any better IMO), it felt like the only thing it really got right was the casting of the Asgardian warriors and the film was all-around lackluster otherwise.

Not going to lie Moon Knight was losing me lately and I merely had the latest episode on in the background while I was doing other stuff but man did that last half just grab my attention and hook me. Totally looking forward to next week.

I loved the, "You won, we won, I won." bit

Kinda wish the ending stuck with it and was a bit more of a cliffhanger.

Finally got to watch it. That was really cool and unexpected at the end. I assume we're just inside his mind though as he's dying?

Moon Knight is trying too hard to have over-the-top wow moments and has not earned any of them.

This week's episode was better than lasts but I still found myself struggling to really pay attention.

The more I think about it I realize I got too deep into the rabbit hole of those YouTube randos who are just going after Phase 4 of the MCU because Disney isn't putting out new Star Wars films for them to get angry at. Heck, in general it feels like that crowd has gotten harsher on the MCU after The Last Jedi happened (some of that movie's most vocal detractors don't think much better of Black Panther for instance). One commenter on Midnight's Edge said saying Morbius is more enjoyable than Shang-Chi and Eternals is damning with faint praise because those are two of the worst superhero movies ever made. I don't even like either film and I still think that's ridiculous.

I feel really dumb for not realizing these dumbasses are just coming down on certain films just to complain about modern cinema as a whole. Although I'm hardly not like that, I just don't find films like those the ones worth getting mad at.

Much of the problem is that I used to be one of those people who had great resentment for modern Hollywood. While I still don't like most newer movies I don't feel that way to as great of an extent anymore. Many of the current Hollywood trends have their roots in prior decades or were at least intended to be there earlier (basically every superhero movie ever made has been intended to launch a franchise and the only reason it didn't happen very often is because Hollywood had no idea how to handle superheroes back then), so I feel like it's completely useless to act like the MCU was never the endgame (pun not intended).

I found one YouTube video about "the problem with Disney" that said TLJ was virtually indistinguishable from a Marvel movie and I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Then again said video also used convoluted logic to blame Disney for The Emoji Movie so whatever.

IIRC Rise of Skywalker wasn't out yet. I think the video was put out in the aftermath of Disney's acquisition of Fox.

It gets better: that channel is now spewing rhetoric that Disney gave in to "activist" demands in opposing the Florida bill instead of staying "neutral". Even though Chapek had helped fund the bill and by definition was not neutral, plus his response came off as completely tone-deaf anyway.

Their ridiculous reporting on Star Wars suggesting there was a civil war within Lucasfilm between factions loyal to Kathleen Kennedy and George Lucas (everyone in the company answers directly to Kennedy so she could theoretically just can anyone in the opposing faction on the spot, there's no need for such a thing) along with Andre's misunderstanding of The Last Jedi - he assumed "Let the past die" was the main message of the movie even though that's something the bad guy said - was what prompted me to unsubscribe from the channel in mid-2020. It seems since then they started peddling a new narrative on how there was a new civil war at Disney as a whole between factions loyal to Bob Iger and Bob Chapek and took Scarlett Johansson's lawsuit against Disney over her Black Widow salary as the first sign, with the reasoning that "Scarlett Johansson is already one of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses, she doesn't need more money" as if that's somehow an excuse to underpay someone.

I feel like I like chunks of Moon Knight but overall it's a little weird and meh. Oscar Isaac is awesome.

I guess I just feel like it's obvious that they're going to ultimately stop the evil people but not before things get real close to disaster! I also kinda feel like the bad guys are doing the right thing, aside from all their creepiness.

Two men and a god fighting over the use of a body is as uncomfortable as watching Goofy struggle with exercise equipment in a Disney cartoon. maybe death is preferable.

But it's also the sign of a poorly written hero so who knows!

The character is only interesting when Steven is piloting.

Steven has not been piloting long enough where I feel Layla makes sense.

I know I said this for Loki but this is a show that feels like it needed a season 1 to help build the world of Moon Knight so that things really matter more than just being "oh, now we go to godsmeet" "oh now there's a collector of fine stuff so that we can have an action vs normal people that is actually on screen".

Idk, there's some real gems in the show, especially early on, but the veil was pulled back far too quick for my liking.
