I remember when fox said secretly feeding meat to someone who didn't eat it for personal reasons was horrible, but perfectly fine to secretly feed people veggies who didn't want to eat them.

Those do sound like two very different things

There are plenty of stories of someone "secretly feeding" people things that they end up having an allergic reaction to. In some cases it can end in felony charges.

So yea, you might not agree with someone's food choices, but no matter what you should respect them.

Im aware of the classic allergic to all things healthy. And soy, despite it being in almost everything. But yes I would POISON anyone with a piece of broccoli

I've never met anyone with an allergy to meat, but I've definitely known people who were allergic to fruits and vegetables. I know two people with tomato allergies, someone with an onion allergy (who is epi-pen levels of allergic), I knew someone who was allergic to corn and chocolate, and I know someone who is allergic to strawberries. Oh, and I know about three people with various levels of wheat allergy. And a few people with diverticulosis (meaning they can't eat seeds). And then of course, there's the now-infamous and seemingly ubiquitous peanut allergies that have literally killed people.

(Related but not exactly the same, I also know someone with a high fructose corn syrup sensitivity.)

I think the closest I've ever known someone to with an allergy to animal products is the one person I know who has lactose intolerance. So dairy as a whole is right out for them.

Food has always been the one thing that I consider utterly sacrosanct - you shouldn't be fucking with anyone's food, ever, regardless of whether or not it's a prank, or because you think you're making it taste better for them, or because you want to sneak healthy food into what they're eating against their will. If you do, you're an asshole, full stop. Your motivations are meaningless - you're showing a profound lack of respect for the person you're fucking with no matter what your intentions are.

Anyway. I like how people who talk about produce allergies do so with such vindication. Reminds me of the south park episode where people were talking about the environment or something and theyd close their eyes and put their hand to their chest. And sniff their farts
