That religious text in general was more or less the children's novels of the time used to teach good morals to kids. And at some point they took the belief further than it should have been. I wish catholic churches would stop modernizing religious stories. I was at a Christmas ceremony at church where they said they were going to sing Christmas Carols. I love Christmas Carols. There were 3 songs sung. 2 of which were the "Christian" Christmas Carols (Jesus loves me types of songs), all sung by older people playing instruments. Plus they started interviewing biblical characters, it was just an awful experience overall.

Just a note, I'm not anti-religious, I just appreciate the original stories, nothing modernized.

Another not weird belief per say, but just a belief I have is that anyone leaving high school should be able to get a mid 5 figure job right out of the gate. That its ridiculous that anyone has to struggle to make money after High School. The final year of high school shouldn't be stuff like Math, Science, History. It should be both practical skills, like typing, cooking and cleaning. As well as level 1 college courses. At bare minimum high school graduates should be capable of applying for a secretary position anywhere.

I think it's pretty normal, but whenever I say it people say I'm a moron so this one:

I don't feel that respect is something that you earn, rather, it's something that you lose.

No, not really.
I give everyone that same amount of respect as that type of person.

This probably isn't all that strange as I've read work by a few psychologists who agree, but I'm convinced that we are all born as little sociopaths. Empathy is a learned trait entirely.

may I try and phrase it a little differently from my own point of view?

Lets say I started working for you. The respect both of us should have for each other should be 100 percent. I'm not here to sabotage your business, I'm here to work with you. As such, when I join your company, I shouldn't be talked down to, I should be taught your companies policies and software/hardware. If I fuck up, then your respect for me drops, and vice versa.

As people, we should interact with one another without feeling like we are going to be talked down to. I've had so many bosses who treat staff like they were literal garbage, just because of their rank. Sadly, of my 10 or so bosses, that amounts to 8 of them. 1 of them was just incompetent.

Respect should never be earned, it should be there from the start. That said, that doesn't mean that someone can't gain more respect.

And for gods sake, just because you have another shit employee, don't transfer that heat on to someone that doesn't deserve it. Lord knows I've been treated like shit because someone else doesn't show up for their shift or they leave early. How is that my fault.

Might not be strange, but I think rationality or reasoning is just something that formulates after the fact that you've already made up your mind about something. Your heart chooses and your brain simply comes in to justify that choice, cementing it. This is demonstrated in psychological studies too, to an extent.
