I'm making this topic for self-improvement. Some of you may have seen my topics in the past regarding drawing, coding, Japanese, ect.

I've decided to make a topic that combines all the progress I make everyday into a log of some sort. For some reason I just stick to my plans whenever I make a topic on CE, its become some sort of weird motivational tool that I can use to improve myself. So I might as well combine everything into one. I'll be updating my progress with coding regarding the course I signed up to (courtesy of @SomeLikeItHoth ) and the drawings I do (which I will also upload to @FabIe 's topic) and see how much I can get done by the end of each day. Be it a little or lot at least I can be comfortable in the idea that I am bettering myself in some way.

Projects/Goals

• Currently taking a Data Analysis course, learning about R language, Data visualization and SQL. This is pretty easy personally. But I'll still update my progress about this here from time to time.
• Taking the CS50's course in Python, will definitely need to keep this up as coding is important to me personally.
• Japanese language. As my class is on hiatus for the time being, I need to stick to this. Using apps and my course materials for review/study.
• Drawing. Of course I don't want to let this go. In my free time I'll draw more, and if its crap I might not upload it. I will still update what I've done here.
• PC Maintenance course. Literally know almost everything they've covered in these lectures so far. I'm only doing it for the qualifications it will give me in the end. It'll help my career generally in IT.

Of course anyone else is free to post here about what advice or things they've personally done. And thanks to everyone here that has helped me on my journey so far.

The only thing Im working on right now is a JavaScript course. Ill update my progress later tonight. I havent been able to work on it for a few days due to being out of town / Mothers Day / getting sick. But Ill be back at it again tonight.

Where and how are you learning Japanese? I want to do that too

Let's see:

-I spend a few minutes every day choking up/crying listening to the love song the woman I'm seeing sent me when I was freaking out last week.

-I am now injecting my estrogen and my breasts already hurt like hell growth pains.

-I have an advisement appointment to schedule my classes for the Fall Thursday morning

-I cleaned out my car, took out my trash, and finally got around to organizing Dominion properly.

-I've been slacking on exercise and voice training.

-Need to plan what I'm going to make for Saturday. Need to bring my car to the car wash for a thorough cleaning so it is a worthy chariot for the lady, her daughter, and her dog.

I definitely feel like I need to improve myself in concrete. I was trying to further learn Japanese, but I feel like my current environment doesn't facilitate these things.

I agree with this question. For a bit I was memorizing some basic Hiragana, but I felt like that was aimless and I didnt really know what to do once done with that.

Agreed! The only thing I need to get over is that I get incredibly demotivated when I dont feel like I progress and sometimes regress while seeing other peoples amazing art. I need to stop putting myself down.

I go to a language class in London with actual native Japanese teachers. It's so fun I wish the hiatus ends soon and i continue the course.

It feels fulfilling when at the end of the day you can say you've got things done and had a productive time.

It's hard to keep track I know, apps helped me with that. Duolingo is not as useful for me at my level but it really helps me stick to things. It usually leads me to go back to my desk and open my books again. Start small and it expands.

Find a free course online. Once you have a structure and learn enough, I've found I dont need it as much and go off on my own learning path.

Did some Japanese tonight on apps while applying to new jobs. Also have 3 interviews this week as well as another one next week.

How did things get so busy all of a sudden?

Finished a pre-interview online assessment. Was actually kinda confusing the way they worded their explanations but when I actually did the test, it was easy.

They probably do that on purpose. Maybe gonna draw now while watching Supernatural. Then do some data analysis course afterwards.

Yeah its a bad habit I didn't think I'd develop.

Spent all day studying and preparing for the interviews. Also did some Data analysis.

Woot, just got a new job offer today. Looks like all that hard work paid off in a way. This has been a productive day indeed.

Finished another week of the Data course!

Did my PC course today. Got an assignment on Wednesday I have to go in for.

Would love to go back to japan assuming they ever plan on opening the country again.

Same. Except theres some controversy regarding their tourism plans recently. I'm planning on outright moving there though.

I haven't done much today except have another interview. Just wanted to see how it would go even though I already have accepted the job from last week. I'm going to do some Japanese maybe before bed, then tomorrow I'm going in for the assignment on my PC course.

Such a long day today. Got home really late, will get more done tomorrow!

Did some Japanese before bed. Also have an exam tomorrow for another job I'm not planning on taking. Not sure how I got so far with their application process, just doing it for practice >_>

Finally did that case study exam and submitted it for the Ombudsman job role. It was more straight forward than I thought it would be. Just required a bit of concentration and a lot of reading/research.

Sent off the required docs for my new Job today.

Good job! I'll need to continue working out and stick to a routine myself. Never thought to update that part of my progress here but its a good idea.

Holy shit I even got the third interview offer. I literally had to reject it over the phone as I've already got the Data Analyst role >_>

Going into another fasting routine. This one might be aggressive.
I attempted to do a Hard Dry Fast Day 1 but I wasnt prepped so I caved and had a glass of water/lemon juice/apple cider mix the first evening; still no food though.

30 hours into it. Longest water fast Ive done is 3 days. Ill probably finish with a dry fast this week however.

My first day in my new job starts on Monday. Cant wait!

I've been so busy these past few months. It feels like it never ends.

Did my part time job today (Videogame testing) after being out for half the day. Got a wedding to go to tomorrow, but not till I do my daily beast tribe quests in FFXIV.

Gonna sleep soon.

Went to a wedding today. Did my course tonight for Data. Going to finish that off tomorrow.

It was via online, was referred by my friend who was working in it for some time.

Today I was able to finish off another section of my Data course. Earned another certificate.

Had my first day of work today at my new job. Mostly an induction today!

Also I'm probably getting 3 free laptops, already received one of them >_>

Feeling sick. Had a good work day but feel like shit tonight. Ugh.

Another work day completed. Also dabble in my data course before bed.

Whew, didn't do much today. Was actually watching State of play when I usually study at this time >_>

Cut out sugar and carbs from diet. Down 7 pounds in a week. But i miss soda and rice. :(

Bump

Got my new laptop running with programs and courses. Its a pretty shitty one with 1.2ghz and 4 gig ram, but I'll use it when going out and doing research/studying at coffee shops. Actually perfect for that.

Edit: Also I got this one for free >_>

And I have another one for free for my new job. And once I finish my PC course I'll get a third one. That makes four laptops and one PC if I include my old laptop (That I'll fix up lol, it has a pretty good CPU and GPU).

Signed up to another course in Python, not sure if I'm going to balance all this but I need to push my coding skills. My new job shouldn't be a reason to stop learning it.
