How is it that one slice of pizza fills me up and is enough for a meal now?

Back in the day, in my 20's, I could eat 2 large pizzas while my 4 friends would share 1 large pizza. I never gained any weight till I was 27 either.

But yeah, that was just crazy, after 27 I would eat at most 1 large pizza and usually once I was married would split the pizza with my wife (Even if she would usually eat like 3 pieces and I would have 5).

Even in the last decade I usually ate 2-3 pieces before becoming full and sometimes would even eat half of a papa murphies pizza still if I hadn't eat all day etc.

But now?

1/8th (1 slice) of pappa murphies pizza and I am not hungry for another slice.

Will that continue? Will I end up eating 1 bite of a pizza eventually. What is going on?!!

Nope, no surgeries, nothing wrong, just, not hungry that much anymore and my tummy has shrunk over time.

I have a possibly inherited (undiagnosed) issue where that can happen (eat a small amount and immediately feel full). it seems to be caused by something getting "stuck" around my stomach area. if I ignore it and eat anyway I'll swell up like a balloon for the next 6+ hours. I've recently discovered I can push into my abdomen just under my diaphragm and it will free whatever it is that's stuck. (I can hear/feel something squishy get released, and I instantly feel better.)

my mom seems to have the same thing and she says it's a gastric hernia, but I don't know for sure what it is.

I would think even with a slowing metabolism, one should still be able to eat at least two slices of pizza (assuming you were hungry), but who knows.

Yeah, just getting old. I've moved from 5-6 pieces to 2-3 myself.

I can probably still do at least 6. I just choose not to. I know I wouldn't be able to do 3 plates of food at a buffet anymore.

I think youre just getting up there is age. Personally, I could eat a whole pizza. But I usually try to do 4-6 on Friday night. And the other 2-4 on Saturday. Unless I split it in half with my BF I could eat the whole thing, but choose not to Though, sometimes, Im just tired

Depends on the toppings and type of pizza. Just cheese and pepperoni NY style? Need at least two slices. A supreme deep dish? One slice could easily fill me up.

I have a free pizza from 7/11 but I dont want to walk all the way home with a freshly hottened pizza only to get mugged by some ninja turtle asshole on a skateboard probably

so Ill probably just use it to get a bunch of free bananas

Yeah I did two of those and that was only sometime last year.

I recently had a bad stomach illness, not sure what it was. But ever since my eating habits shrunk by a lot. I mean its nice to save money on food, but it's annoying because I'm having to relearn how much I eat of everything now.

God damn I wish one slice was enough for me
