It gets weirder in S2.

Not in a good way.

S3 is great though if you like fully unleashed David Lynch.

I do like unleashed David Lynch. I was surprised how relatively linear season 1 was for him.

Then you'll love The Return.

It taught me that I do not care for fully unleashed David Lynch lol.

S2 takes a significant dip in quality about halfway through, but then gets much better near the end. David Lynch and Mark Frost weren't involved with the show during that period.

You have to watch Fire Walk With Me after S2 and before S3. It's an integral part of the story

Yeah season 2 is pretty good and then hits a slump, but it's worth going through to get back to the end of the season where shit gets really good again. Then Fire Walk with Me (and maybe look at the deleted scenes on youtube since they kind of matter) and then the Return.

You got a lot of good stuff left.

Even the slumping parts of Season 2 have their own sort of charm, so long as you have appreciation for the small-town goofy angle the show takes.

i love season 1 and 2. i watched the first 3 episodes of season 3 but wasn't in the right mood for it at the time so i stopped. maybe one day ill finish it.

Actually I know people who own bars and strip clubs.

My sis bar tended.

I wasn't employed but I'd stay after hours.

Helped plenty of times siting up chars and sweeping.

Places were kind of spooky after hours.

Season 3 is way weirder, if you can believe it. Also one of the best seasons of anything imo

The best scene in it is the one with David Lynch's character in the hotel room with the call girl or whatever she is. Cracks me up so hard with how protracted and silly it is

David Lynchs character just appeared and hes hilarious. I remember him being very funny on Louie, too.

Kinda sorta. There's a scene within the first couple episodes where they are all in the morgue looking at a body. The light flickers, they look up at it, then continue on. The light flickering wasn't intentional. The actors just rolled with it and Lynch enjoyed it so he kept that scene.

Fire Walk with Me is amazing. It really shows you a different side to Laura. Then S3 is off the rails weird. Only thing I disliked about S3/The Return is that the soap opera aspect of S1 and 2 is gone.

Also watch The Missing Pieces after Fire Walk with Me, it's basically an entire movie's worth of deleted scenes and maybe the weirdest Twin Peaks content

Episode 7 was my favorite so far. Genuinely creepy stuff.

So, they solved the mystery and pretty much everything was explained. Yet theres still like 15 episodes left this season.

Apparently David Lynch directed the finale, so Im going to power through. His episodes are usually my favorites.

Good on you man. While some of the story threads are a mess in the later half of that season there are some interesting ideas.

Also just in case you haven't already heard, Lynch never intended for the murderer to be revealed. The studio forced him to reveal it. Then he got pissed and quit. That's the reason behind the drop in quality after it's revealed. Then just as they were getting their footing back near the end of the season, the show was cancelled for low ratings. Gee...I wonder why? Lol

Im not sure how I feel about David Duchovny in drag. I was so happy to see him in the opening credits, and then she(?) showed up. But Ill wait and see how it plays out. Cooper being fired from the FBI was total bullshit, though.

Yeah I feel like knowing that bit of info helps give it a pass.

Eh. He was probably so pissed that he wrote a couple episodes to quickly make the reveal make sense then gtfo. Then the studio convinced him to return for the last couple episodes.

If you want to see Lynch fully unchained, just wait for The Return\S3. Watch the movie first though.

Hell, I'd say Denise is done pretty well even for a show from today. They make a note of it, everyone accepts it, and they move on.

Okay, between Nadine being a high school cheerleader and whatever the fuck is going on with James and that girl hes hooking up with, I can see why people shit on the second half of this season.

Its also lacking the lingering sense of dread from the mystery.

People really hated James' storyline, but I personally hated Nadine more. Maybe because I didn't care about James regardless while I liked Nadine's crazy ass quite a bit.
