Im not trying to game or anything. So something super cool isnt important.

Ive been trying to edit videos and images on my laptop and its becoming cumbersome. I figured having an actual desktop computer with more usb slots and an actual ethernet port would be more ideal.

Plus itd just make organizing better if my side hobbies are on one computer with leisure on my laptop.

But I only know laptops. I actually have no clue how to search for desktops.

Yall build computers, but any suggestions for pre-built ones?

I dunno whats a good price. I was hoping for less than $500. I just need a PC and monitor. I plan to do most my work on headphones, so I dont need speakers.

I also have a mouse and keyboard already.

Well, thats what I mean lol. I dont remember how much I bought my laptop for, but I felt like it was around ~$500.

When I look on Amazon, computers range from $200 to more than $1000.

I feel very ignorant about what to get.

500 isn't going to get you anything worth using especially if you need a monitor too

Get a laptop unless you want a good gaming desktop.

For less than $500 you may as well go for a pre-built. Just look for something in the $250-$500 at like Best Buy or something.
