Not really for me, I am a light eater for the most part, so i can get a better quality meal, for usually less, and just as much food as I would take from a buffet

But today I did the cosmo breakfast buffet, so far, its been good

I used to go for like 3 plates so maybe, but I haven't been to one in years and have a smaller appetite now so I'm not sure if I could even do 2 full plates

I would've said yes as a kid, but nowadays I just feel sick if I overeat. Rather just spend good money on good food rather than get a deal on a lot of food at one time.

Last time i went to a buffet was Golden Corral because they have a nice salad bar. I'd go pay 11 dollars with a 5 dollar tip and have 3 plates of nice salad with assorted meat. I used to do that every couple months before going to Walmart for groceries. I got tired of it though.

The 150+ item seafood buffets we have at nice, but it's like $35 a person. The Mongolian Fire Buffet we used to have was nice. I never had more than 2 plates though.

I found there's a chinese place near here that has a "1-person combo". you get one of those aluminum containers filled with chicken fried rice, and choice of two dishes on top (and comes with a spring roll and fortune cookie).

it's only $15 for an insane amount of food (basically 2 days worth of food for 1 person unless you're reeeeeeeaaally hungry). it's basically "all you can eat" unless you're absolutely determined to eat until you pop.

I guess the advantage an actual buffet would have would be variety, where you could eat smaller amounts of more kinds of dishes.

I have a big appetite, so mathematically it can be.
But a lot of these buffets gross me out w/ the food being left out and trusting the average American (who's fucking gross and inconsiderate) to not contaminate my food.
So...no, it's not worth it to me.

Vegas has incredible buffets

Maybe. I don't get as hungry as I use to. I could probably still manage 2 plates.

Depends on their price? If I'm paying as much or less than I would for a normal meal, than sure. If I'm paying the price of more than one meal, no because chances are I won't eat more than one plate worth of food anyway.

I generally don't go to them on my own.

Depends on the price, food, and if they kick you out. Otherwise, if I fill up on the expensive stuff, it might be worth it

Yup, can normally eat a good 5 plates while not going for the cheap stuff like noodles or rice.

But even then, the difference in quality between one buffet and another can be night and day

I generally make sure I don't eat much before going to a buffet so I know I'm getting my money's worth.

you get your money's worth if youre eating the buffet at a chinese buffet place.

places like Pizza Ranch they dont get stuff out on time plus there are other people there beside you to eat pizza, chicken and mashed potatoes.

Definitely, even when it costs more.

It's just that getting my own food, with no wait, what I want and how much of it I want, makes it a more enjoyable experience and overall more worth it to me.

A few friends and I used to go to a casino with this awesome buffet inside. So wed get drunk playing blackjack (free drinks every 10 minutes), then to sober up, wed eat and get the day pass, then sleep it off and repeat.

Many casino buffets are fucking mint. I wouldn't even consider them normal buffets. They're like sit-down 5-star restaurants that put all their good shit on a buffet for some reason. The Seneca in Niagara Falls is the shit.

No, i think it's cheap food, bad quality and i feel like they are always susceptible to food poisoning from other people tampering with them.

We have a wing bar at the grocery store I manage.

Everyone calls it the trough. It couldnt be a more perfect name.

There's a real nice Asian one near me that has fairly good quality foods, they have a Hibachi grill that doesn't cost extra(Unless you tip the cooks) and the food at that is worth the price which isn't much mroe than Golden Coral or any other Chines buffet.

This pretty much for me. Though it's less that I get sick if I overeat, it's just that I get full fast and then I don't want to eat anymore. So it feels like a waste of money, or paying to be miserable.

Big advantage is not waiting around 20-30 minutes for your food to get made.

When I was younger and could eat anything I wanted and as much as I wanted without consequence? Sure.

Nowadays I would much rather have a specific meal reasonably portioned for a normal person.

I've only been to one, and I loved that place, so yeah... but... it closed a few years ago. ;_;

They usually are not for me because I hate eating. I get nausea and upset stomach a lot, so I can't eat much. During my worst times, just thinking about eating is enough to make me sick, so thinking about having to eat a lot to get my money's worth can make me sick.
