It was my first big dive into an adult novel so I totally didn't pick up on the themes of good and evil, I just enjoyed the story. But throughout the book i wanted King to just get to the point (main story not the background) and then he did... in the most succinct way possible. It was also one of the books that led me to think that King is overated. I heard so much talk about him growing up and Star ed with The Shining and a few other big names that i enjoyed. Moving onto The Stand and some from the mid-2000s turned me off.
