Once I get it, I'm going to buy a couple of mags and some 556 NATO rounds to go target shooting if time allots next week.

Shootings cause talk of gun control. Talking about it causes massive hikes in gun sales. No actual gun control comes from the talk. The shooting surely inspires many sick people and the hike in gun sales put more guns out there.

I went to go by that rifle I was talking about a few weeks back but they didn't have it in the caliber I wanted. So I decided to just wait a bit.

Time to stock up on ammo now that the panic buying has cooled down a bit. I went and grabbed a few boxes of 45ACP while I was at the gun store.

Can you really be surprised at panic buying with the possibility of shitty gun control coming down the pipe ?

Having to pay so much extra due to a garbage law possibly being passed would make anyone willing to buy now then be sorry later.

I'll never understand the obsession with guns. It sounds like an extremely boring hobby tbh.

I will say I do like the idea of learning archery. Its a timeless art and cooler.

I tend to enjoy gunslinger in my TTRPG but its just a fantasy and mostly based on the whole Western concept.(or in my case, The Dark Tower)

Cool. I have an M&P 15 as well, but I only shoot 22 LR out of it now (cmmg drop in conversion)

First thing you need to do is get back up iron sights and a sling. You also need a white light. Also a ten pack(or more) Magpul Gen3 Pmags.

Second thing you need to do(down the road if you can't afford it now) is to get a better optic than a trash crimson trace. Romeo 5, TRS-26 are both good on a budget. If you're willing to spend more, Romeo 4T, Aimpoint Pro, Primary Arms MD-25, Primary arms SLX 1x Microprism. There are plenty more good ones if you are willing to spend.

With a 1:8 twist rate it will shoot 55gr m193 pretty well, I suggest getting a case or two of it.

How are they not practical? They're the single best self defense tool a person can have.

Several common Handgun rounds over penetrate drywall just as much if not more than a regular 223.

You're wrong about it being more likely to go through walls. A 9mm hollow point penetrates more layers of drywall than a m193 and it has been proven time and time again.
