Current Events > Scenario: You wake up on June 10th 1938 in Germany.

You're walking along one day when suddenly a small blond kid on a bicycle charges right past you and shouts "Move over lame-o!" causing you to have to quickly move out of the way.

Doing so forces you to stumble and trip over, making you fall to the floor. Except instead of feeling the concrete smack against your head as you land, you feel a pillow. But your head still hurts aggressively.

You roll over and realize you're not lying on the sidewalk anymore, you're lying in a bed with a splitting headache. The bed feels unusually hard. Then you realize there's a woman in strange clothing sitting next to you.

"Oh you're finally awake. Amalwin! Go fetch your papa some water." The woman says in a strong accent.

"Ja mutter." a small child replies before rushing out of the room.

"Where am I? What happened?" you stammer in confusion as you rub your head and eyes.

"You had a terrible night at der Fuball. After Deutschland lost the game you got in an argument with some vicious Schweizers and one of the brutes struck you in the head. You've barely said 4 words since. I was worried sick." the woman says to you with genuine concern.

"Here you are papa." the small boy says re-entering the room and handing you a tall glass of water.

It takes a second for you to process but you realize you're in a small family home in Leipzig, Germany in 1938.

How do you react?
What do you do?

I'd exclaim "well shit, now I have to wait like 84 years to see episode 3 of Ms Marvel!"

Immediately look for an English language version of "The Hobbit" so I can read

Immediately start looking to get the fuck out of germany.

Go to the local butcher's and ask what he's got for dinner tonight that's Kosher.

Sell all our assets. 1938 should still be able to get some cheap ocean front property in San Diego.

Too lazy to look up tue timeline, but if it's not too late I'm moving to America.

Then again, I could end up lynched in America so, idk where I'd run to. Certainly getting the hell out of Germany.

Id follow the kid, as his use of yet uncoined slang suggests that he is a time traveler.
